LIQUID/MIST: The Threshold Limit Value (TLV) is 500 ppm TWA. The odor threshold is 20 ppm.

EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE:
EYE/SKIN: Slight eye irritant. Slight skin irritant from repeated or prolonged contact.

INHALATION: Levels above 1000 ppm may cause headache, drowsiness, and dizziness that may lead
to nausea and loss of consciousness.

INGESTION: Irritant to the digestive tract.

WEAR RECOMMENDED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT


The flashpoint is -4°C (-20°F) with an explosive range in air of 2.5% (LEL) to 13% (UEL). Vapors are heavier than
air and may travel a distance to an ignition source and flashback.

REACTIVITY: Do not heat above. Avoid contact with strong oxidizing agents, strong acids, and amines reacts
violently with chloroform, unstable and explosive peroxides formed with strong oxidizers.
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: DRY CHEMICAL, CO2, or FOAM
USES: General-purpose solvent, degreaser, and laboratory reagent.
STORAGE: Store in sealed containers in a cool, dry, air-conditioned area away from strong acids,
oxidizing agents, and amines.
TRANSPORT: For transportation, label with DOT-IMO-UN Class 3 “Flammable Liquid” hazardous
warning label/placard. handling
SPILLS/LEAKS: Absorb using suitable sorbent material. Place in clean drums for disposal. Wash affected

chemical gloves are required use Teflon or other similar material as Acetone dissolves

USE APPROPRIATE PROCEDURES FOR CONFINED SPACE ENTRY

INHALATION: Remove affected person from exposure. If breathing is difficult administer oxygen. If
