COURSE OBJECTIVES
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to
a) comprehend basic oral and written Spanish;
b) speak in Spanish on a variety of topics;
c) use the present tense to speak and write Spanish with grammatical accuracy; and
d) identify selected aspects of Spanish and Hispanic cultures.
POLICIES
• Students should attend every class and be on time (absences and lateness will affect your
final grade). Attendance is very important.
• If a student is absent from a class, he/she must confer with a classmate and come to the
next session just as prepared as everyone else.
• Students should come to each class well prepared.
• Students should actively participate in class.
• Students should ask only questions that are relevant to the lesson.
• Students must do all homework assignments at the time specified, there will be no “make
ups of in-class assignments, class tests and quizzes. VHL exercises when missed,
CANNOT be made up.
• Students are not allowed to use earbuds/ headsets/ head phones during face to face
lectures or exams;
• Students must attend all classes after MID-SEMESTER BREAK! Classes are still
held after the break!
