faster, he would have taken 15 minutes less to walk 3 km. find the original rate of his
walking.
15. Some students arranged a picnic. The budget for food was Rs 240. Due o confusion four
students of the group failed to go, the cost of food to each student got increased by Rs 5.

16. A train travelling a distance of 1200 km at a constant speed. When driver of the train
learnt that he is getting late, he increased the speed by 5 km per hour. Now the journey
took 8 hours less and reached in time. Find the original speed of the train.
Do you agree that increasing speed of the train may cause accident? Support your
