WHAT: eAccess 48-volt electric powertrain system


INNOVATION: Valeo has created an affordable eDrive module combining an air-cooled 48-
volt belt-driven starter-generator, a permanent magnet synchronous motor with an
integrated inverter and a dedicated modular transmission. Through the reuse of mass-
produced automotive components combined with a modular reducer, the system supports
the mass adoption of light electric powertrains on two-, three- and four-wheel vehicles for
urban driving.
