ELNG-Learning Task-Assessment 1.3

The document compares and contrasts several linguistic terms, providing definitions and examples for each. It defines phonetics as the study of how speech sounds are produced physically, while phonology is the patterns of sounds in a language. Morphology is defined as the study of word structure, looking at prefixes, roots, and suffixes. Syntax is the structure of sentences. Semantics concerns word meaning, and pragmatics concerns meaning in context. The document then provides a short assessment asking the reader to identify statements as true or false.
