EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Food panda is a food delivery e business that helps consumer to order food online
through the Food panda’s mobile app or website and receive their food at their doorsteps. It a
global food ordering platform with a large number of restaurants from where customers can
choose their food from in many cities and countries. Also it has a large number of active
riders in its business whose who delivers food to the customer’s door steps. I were given a
task by my lecturer to make a case study on my individual assignment to find as company a
choice. Therefore, I have picked Food panda as my company. Here I have written about the
background, overview, issue to be solved and recommendation about Food panda. I have
collected my information from internet research, data collected from other portals, people,
websites, articles and Wikipedia. Also I have collected information by analysing their mobile
app and website.

INTRODUCTION & BACKGROUND OF THE ORGANIZATION
Food panda is a service that processes and delivers orders directly to partner restaurants
registered with Food Panda, then delivers the food by the delivery rider to the customer. This
food delivery service is available through websites and mobile applications found in various
panda food websites. These mobile apps and websites have connected customers with
restaurants that offer food delivery in their area and allowed them to choose, order and pay
online/offline. Customers can order food by entering their zip code on the site and browse for
food from a list of restaurants. customers can also place food orders by browsing the restaurant
menu and selecting the item they want to order before entering the address and proceeding to
payment. Food panda also sends an SMS to confirm the order and its estimated delivery time.
Food panda also has a reviews section on the restaurant page, where customers can comment
on the overall sales, delivery, taste and impression process of the restaurant.
In 2012 Ralf Wenzel and Benjamin Bauer founded the Food panda food ordering service
and service in Germany, with the cooperation and assistance of Rocket Internet incubator. The
service is a website through which users can browse restaurants in their neighbourhood, place
food orders, then send them to them. The two men are ambitious, with Food panda expanding
to 16 other countries by the end of the year. in 2013, its achievements have increased and been
recognized by seven countries. As of 2016, the number of countries that use these services and
services is 24.
Food panda is a brand name famous for locations in Europe and Asia. However, in
Africa, the Middle East and Latin America, it uses the name “hello food”. The company was
able to increase its international business quickly through acquisitions in other countries. Its
success led to many successful rounds of funding. These include raising $ 28 million in 2013,
$ 80 million in 2014 and $ 210 million in 2015. The firm now works with more than 38,000
restaurants in more than 500 cities.

OVERVIEW OF THE SITUATION
Food panda is a powerful platform that allows restaurants to provide excellent service
to various groups of customers who want their food delivered to their homes and it has
successfully eliminated the need to go to restaurants by allowing food deliverers to deliver
directly to their homes. Send goods. It’s all about ordering online; the platform matches the
restaurant with the restaurant of their choice. Food panda ensures food lovers have a delicious,
healthy and unique dining experience. Find out everything you need to know about platforms,
business models and more live. Food panda is indeed the fastest growing online food delivery
service provider in the world.
The company is highly trusted on customer needs and satisfaction with brand
recognition and trust with their audience. The company established relationships with many
restaurants and attracted more customers to the site. This gives more opportunities to the
company. Food panda created a pricing policy system that has made the company very. It has
adopted a value -added pricing policy where it provides quality food items to customers at
affordable prices. Incentives such as discounts and special offers are given to customers. This
treatment ensures customer retention and allows food pandas to stand out in the crowded food
delivery segment. In addition, communication is also the most important thing in delivery
service to customers. Communication plays the most important role in doing this business.
Therefore, they improve customer service with their work efficiency especially during delivery
time. This will bring better satisfaction to the customers with the quality of their services and
will avoid complaints from customers about poor service
Convenience, accessibility, personalization, brand prestige, and cost reduction are all
main value propositions offered by the platform. Food Panda makes food retailers more
accessible by allowing them to promote their products to customers who don't want to go to a
physical location or who are having trouble finding information on the internet. It allows clients
to order from an advanced solution, assuring ease by allowing them to submit orders 24 hours
a day, 7 days a week via the platform. Customers can pick up their orders or have them
delivered to them. They are free to pay using any method that is most convenient for them.
Customers can filter restaurants based on different sorts on the platform, which allows for
customisation. Customers can take advantage of a variety of appealing offerings, such as meal
savings and free delivery

ISSUE TO BE SOLVED
FoodPanda delivery service only offers orders from nearby restaurants. In other words,
only from restaurants near them based on their current location. Customers can only place at
restaurants that Foodpanda works with that can be ordered by customers. If the platform does
not work with any restaurant in the region, then you cannot place your order. Additionally,
FoodPanda only offers delivery for a radius of 5 or 6 kilometers from locations that reach their
service coverage. With that condition, customers ’choice for restaurants is slightly limited
unless customers live in the city. This is a weak point as not all restaurants will not be available
everywhere and options will be limited for customers.
Customers rely heavily on internet user reviews while looking for reliable services.
Customers from all over the world have given average reviews of Food Panda. Foodpanda
received a rating of 1.25/5 out of 441 reviews on Trustpilot.com, 2.4/5 stars out of 469 reviews
on Facebook.com, 1.7/5 stars from mouthshut.com and 1.7/5 stars from pissedconsumer.com.
FoodPanda has been criticized for poor customer service, billing problems, and ordering
problems, among others. This is a gap in customer service.

RECOMMENDATION / SOLUTION
Furthermore, the Food Panda Company should also promote and introduce delivery
other than food only. Food Panda has introduced Panda Mart, a grocery delivery service. The
service offers the convenience of delivery of more than 3,500 essential products from the
warehouse, it covers 100 international and local brands. For example, household necessities,
instant goods, beauty products and even medicines. All products are supplied directly from the
manufacturer, so the price of the goods offered is very reasonable and of course the quality of
the product is guaranteed. Panda Mart has grown to have 25 locations around the Klang Valley,
Penang, Johor and others. With this, the Food Panda Company has a lot of potential to continue
to be successful in the future. However, only a few customers know about this service.

CONCLUSION
As one of famous international brands, Food panda has come and joined the market with
the well-known reputation. This strengthens their soles in the market that can makes their
business keep growing bigger and stronger. Food Panda became very successful because of the
dedication and responsibility of its employees to carry out tasks and orders. Food panda has a
diverse workforce, which makes them better at planning and implementing those dedication. It
provides a humane and caring environment for its employees, as well as competitive
compensation and benefits packages. They also make a better offer for the user to modify
customer based on their desired. This makes Food panda as one strong platform that people
will keep come to use their platform.
Food Panda needs to be aware of its strengths in maintaining staff loyalty. Furthermore,
Food Panda must improve employee bonus management. Some workers are not eligible for
bonuses. It is common to use incentives to encourage staff to perform tasks effectively. If they
do not receive the bonus they expect, some employees will be disappointed. This may affect
their loyalty.
