IFC Editorial Board - 2009 - Environmental and Experimental Botany
Environmental and Experimental Botany (EEB) publishes research papers on the physical, chemical and biological
mechanisms and processes that relate the performance of plants to their abiotic and biotic environment. The experimental
approaches should compare structural, physiological and/or ecological responses of genotypes, ecotypes, cultivars and/or
ecological responses of genotypes, ecotypes, cultivars and/or assemblages of species.
The areas covered by the journal EEB (Environmental and Experimental Botany) include:
(1) Plant/soil interactions in the range of chemical and physical diversity, and especially the effects of heavy metals
and the phytoremediation processes
(2) Plant/water relations (drought or flood)
(3) Plant/radiation interactions (including responses to radiation from UV-B to infrared and effects on
photosynthesis)
(4) Plant/atmosphere relations (especially effects of changing carbon dioxide concentrations, ozone, extreme
temperatures, etc.)
(5) Plant/micro-organisms or plant/animal or plant/plant ineractions emphasizing the role of secondary metabolites.
The experimental approaches should compare the structural, physiological and ecological responses of genotypes, ecotypes
or assembly of species. Other models than plants are welcome if they interact with plants or provide knowledge which could
be useful for plant science. It is the same with in vitro studies when they can be extended to the whole
plant.
Each submitted manuscript should be based on an explicitly elaborated mechanical hypothesis. In addition to Research
papers, the journal offers Review articles commissioned by the Editor-in-Chief or submitted by authors.
