PART A
(Answer one question, each question carries 25 marks)
1. Draw an elevation and detail the joints of a Queen post truss for a clear span of 1000 cm.
Supporting walls are 30 cm thick. Assume all other data as necessary
Or
2. Draw a cross-section and plan of a RCC dog legged stair for a public building. Floor to floor
height is 360 cm. Width of stair 1.2 m. Rise and tread are 15 cm and 30 cm. Provide a pipe 60
cm diameter for a handrail at a height of 80 cm from the level of the steps. Balusters are 25 mm
square blocks. Assume all other data as necessary.

(Answer one question, each question carries 50 marks)
