Assignment

Question No.1

You are required to find the number of subnets and useable hosts per subnet that we can get from the IP addresses
mentioned in the table given below:
IP Addresses with CIDR Subnets Useable Hosts per Subnet
notation/associated custom subnet mask

172.19.0.0/26

192.168.12.0/27

145.28.1.0
255.255.255.192

200.25.2.0/26

65.27.0.0
255.255.224.0

Question No.2
Suppose an Academy wants to develop a computer lab as per the following requirements:
1. There will be total 8 computers connected with each other through a Switch.
2. There will be one DHCP server connected with the Switch
Considering yourself as a network administrator, you are required to perform the following tasks/configuration on
Packet Tracer for the above given scenario:

1. Design the suitable network topology.

2. Connect all the devices on appropriate interfaces.
3. Turn all the links up.
4. Label all devices as per scheme given in the following table:

Nodes/Devices Labels
Computers MC123456_PC1, MC123456_PC2,
MC123456_PC3, MC123456_PC4,
MC123456_PC5, MC123456_PC6
MC123456_PC7 MC123456_PC8
Server Auto Config_ DHCP Server

Switch Your name with ID

Note: Write your own VU ID and your own name for labeling.
5. Auto Config_ DHCP Server
6. Assign IP addresses to server as per the scheme given in the following table:

Device IP address
Server 192.168.25.1

IP Pool 192.168.25.2- 192.168.25.20

7. Configure auto IP addresses on all PCs using DCHP server.

Note: You are required to perform all above Tasks using Packet Tracer Tool, take the screenshots (as mentioned
below), paste in MS Word File in same sequence and submit that file on VULMS as your solution.

Required Screenshots:

1. Screenshot of Network Topology

2. Screenshot of IP configuration of Auto Config_ DHCP Server
3. Screenshot of IP configuration of PC8 using Auto Config_ DHCP Server
4. Screenshot of IP configuration of PC3 using Auto Config_ DHCP Server

Best of Luck!
