O RDER:
The Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Association has been representing for
entrustment of Supervisory Work to the Superintendents of Divisional Office
(Executive Engineer's Office) of Roads and Building and other 'Engineering
Departments. The issue was referred o Board of Chief Engineers, for
consideration. The Board of Chief Engineers have taken a decision in the

meeting to demarcate to the functions of he Divisional Accounts Officers and


the Office Superintendents as their duties and responsibilities are distinctly
different in nature. The Finance and Planning Department advised that at
present the Department do not see any reasons for demarcation of the
Functions between the Divisional Accounts 0tficer and the Office
Superintendents and the present system be continued. Sub-Sequently it has
been proposed that the Superintendents cen bè entrusted with the supervisory
powers for non-finance work in the office and the Divisional Account Officer
need not be burdened with those functions as the following additional subjects
are proposed to the Divisional Accounts 0fficer in addition to those in sub-rule
(ci of rule 89 of the Andhra Pradesh Public orks Accounts Code.

1. All establishment matters pertaining to technical establishment of the


entire division.
2. Scrutiny of Technical establishme t bills, passing submission oi
Traveling allowance bills of techical establishment of the entire
division.
3. All confidential correspondence relatung to work and establistment of
the entired division.
