Dear Parent / Guardian


1. School Photos
We will be taking School Photos on Wednesday 1 June. All learners must be dressed in the
full winter uniform for the photos. All learners will receive a standard package of school
photos that is included in the school fees. Additional copies and other items like coffee mugs
and key rings can be ordered from the photographers.
2. Mid-Year Examination
The June examination will start on the following dates:

 Grade 12: Friday 27 May


 Grade 8-11: Thursday 2 June
 Grade 7: 6 June
 Grade 4-6: 9 June
 Grade 4-7 will write their Essay (P3) on Friday 3 June
All learners from grade 7-12, may leave school after the completion of their paper. Please
ensure that you arrange transport accordingly. Learners who are walking from school must do
so in groups to avoid being targeted by thieves.
Grade 4-6 learners will have school until 12H00 for the duration of the examination. School
hours are amended during examination times so that learners have more time for studying.
Please assist your child with preparations for the Examinations.
The examination Time Tables are attached to this letter.
3. Winter Uniform
Our learners switched from Summer uniform to Winter Uniform as from the 1st of May. Please
ensure that your child has the correct uniform. If your child is unable to wear the correct school
uniform for a valid reason, please contact the school and inform us of the problem.

4. Foundation Phase Trip: Gold Reef City

We were finally able to go on a trip again after many years of Covid-19 restrictions. The
excitement among the learners was sky high and I am sure everyone had an amazing time.
The trip was a big success all thanks to Ms Burger who organised the event and all the
foundation phase staff who took responsibility for all the little ones. I would also like to thank all
of our parents for ensuring that the learners were dropped off and picked up at the right time.
We really appreciate your cooperation.

5. Amended School Hours during Examinations

Please take note of the following changes to the closing time of the school during
examinations.

Grade 8-12: Assembly 8:15


Examination Starts 9:00
School Out: After Writing (times may vary)

Grade 7: Assembly 8:15


Examination Starts 9:00
School Out: After Writing (times may vary)

Grade 4-6: Assembly 8:15


Study Time: 8:15-9:50
Break: 9:50-10:20
Examination Starts 10:30
School Out: 12:00

Grade 1-3: School Out: 12:00

Ed-U-Buddies: School Out: 12:00


Staff will be in class until 13H00 to look after learners if their transport arrives
at the normal time.
