Lesson Plan TheLastSupper
Christian Living 12
AY 2018-2019
General Topic
HOLY EUCHARIST
Specific Topic
LAST SUPPER
Objectives
(What are the things that you would like your students to learn and demonstrate?)
Doctrine:
1. Knowing the value of loving one another because Jesus washed the feet of his disciples during
the last supper and we people must also do the same to love and cherish the treasure of
friendship. They could summarize the story in the way they wanted it to be and why do they
think that should’ve have been.
2. Be kind to the people even though they did something to hurt you because in the Last supper
even though Judas betrayed Jesus He still washed his feet. The students will share their
experiences and relate the story in real life situations.
3. Knowing the value of Christ in our lives because through the last supper children will know that
God is the truth and the life therefore they will know that God will always be there and never
abandon them. Demonstrate a change you want to see in yourself to be a good disciple of God.
Moral:
1. This will affect the kids through their actions because they can apply this by knowing the
importance of eating together as a family. Just like where the Last Supper picture is usually
placed inside the house, the dining room. They could share insights about a certain person in
class and give positive insights about him or her.
Worship:
1. Peace would be the thing that will be left with the children because they will know that God left
us with peace and an untroubled heart therefore telling the story and purpose of The Last Supper
would make them realize that God is greater than our sufferings. They could pick 3-5 people in the
room randomly and play an reenactment of the story.

The last supper took place on the first day of Passover, or the Festival of Unleavened Bread. Jesus sent his
disciples ahead into the city to prepare a meal to celebrate Passover. Passover is the remembrance of Israel being
freed from slavery to Egypt and specifically when the angel of death passed over the homes of the Israelites that
had lambs blood over the doors.
As the disciples reclined and ate dinner with Jesus, he explained to them that one of the twelve of them would
soon betray him. One by one the disciplines denied that it would be them, including Judas who would be the
betrayer. Jesus responded that the person who betrays him will have a terrible fate and that indeed, it was Judas.
Jesus prayed and thanked God for the meal. He then broke the bread and shared the wine with the disciples and
explained to them how the bread was a symbol of his body, broken for them, and the wine a symbol of his blood
which would be poured out for their sins to be forgiven. This is where the churches tradition of communion comes
from.
After the meal, Jesus became like a servant and washed the feet of the disciples. Peter did not feel right having
Jesus wash his feet but Jesus said that He was doing it to be an example to them. Now the disciples would be able
to wash each others feet, meaning they could be servants to all.
Lesson Points:
1. Serve one another. (Serving one another is one way of showing love)
2. Be kind even if. (Be kind to the people even though they did something to hurt you because in the
Last supper even though Judas betrayed Jesus He still washed his feet)
3. God is the truth and the life. (Salvation; therefore they will know that God will always be there
and never abandon them)
