Preface

These Lesson Plan Exemplars in Mathematics for Grade V second quarter is


created, edited, evaluated, and reviewed by public school teachers, administrators and
supervisors of the Division of Malaybalay City.
It is initiated by the Schools Division Superintendent of the Division of
Malaybalay City to (a) address gaps in teaching and learning resources; (b) respond to
the needs, interests and abilities of the 21 st century learners; (c) provide teachers with
quality teaching resource that is aligned and consistent with K to 12 Curriculum; and
(d) improve the quality of instruction.
Contents included in these materials focused only on the Second Quarter
competencies built on the development of learners’ knowledge, skills, values and
attitude.
These materials are subject for validation. Teachers are encouraged to either
adopt or modify according to their expertise and experience, or find another model
deemed suitable. While writing, it was our goal to deliver instructional success
however, champions, who can address limitations can turn this effort more
