UTILIZATION OF THE CONTEXTUALIZED INSTRUCTIONAL


SUPERVISION AND MONITORING TOOL

Elementary and Secondary School Heads

1. Relative to the implementation of DepEd Order No. 24, s.2020 and


DepEd Order No.25,s.2020 also known as “National Adoption of Philippine
Professional Standard for School Heads and (PPSH) and Philippine
Professional Standard for Supervisors (PPSS) mandating instructional leaders
such as Education Program Supervisors I, Public School District Supervisors
and Education Program Specialists II of the Alternative Learning System, SDO
Camarines Sur adopts the SERGS’ varied monitoring tools to be used in
assessing schools and learning centers along the continuum of instructional
supervision, instructional monitoring and provision of technical assistance to
their area of concern.

2. This memorandum primarily aims to: A] provide unified and


harmonized monitoring tools in generating data from the field, B] guide
instructional leaders in providing technical assistance and support to their
area of concern along instructional supervision specifically on: i] Teacher
Preparation, ii] Utilization of Learning Resources, iii] Learning Delivery, iv]
Learning Assessment and v] Teachers’ Development. C] Assist instructional
leaders in generating relevant and research-based results as bases for their
interventions and innovations toward improving teachers’ performance and
learning outcomes.

3. The monitoring tools attached hereto are simplified and contextualized


and can be easily utilized. A thorough discussion on its utilization will be
conducted on Nov. 28 to Dec 1, 2022 at Villa Rosita Hotel, Naga City.

4. All Education Program Supervisors I, Public School District Supervisors
and Education Program Specialists II of ALS are advised to use these tools in
the conduct their instructional monitoring, supervision, and provision of
technical assistance.

5. Enclosed are the instructional monitoring, supervision, and provision


of technical assistance tools for each component of instructional supervision.
To wit:

a. Enclosure 1 – M&E Tool for Teachers’ Preparation


b. Enclosure 2 – M&E Tool for Learning Resources
c. Enclosure 3 – M&E Tool for Learning Delivery
d. Enclosure 4 – M&E Tool for Learning Assessment

f. Enclosure 5 – M&E Tool for Instructional Benchmarking

6. Transportation and travel expenses of the Curriculum Implementation


Division (CID) personnel involved in these tasks shall be charged against
General Management System Fund of the Curriculum Implementation
Division (CID) subject to the accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

7. Widest dissemination of this memorandum is desired.
