OFFICE OF THE VICE PRESIDENT FOR ACADEMIC AFFAIRS

To maintain order and solemnity during the 7th CCA commencement exercises, all attendees are enjoined
to strictly observe the following guidelines.

A. Schedule of Activities

Graduation Rehearsal October 4, 2022 All graduating students are


9:00am – 12:00pm highly encouraged to attend the
CCA covered court rehearsal so they will know what
to do during the graduation day.

Distribution of togas, souvenir October 4, 2022 Graduating students will get


programs, and entry stubs 1:00pm – 4:00pm their togas at their respective
City College of Angeles assigned venues.

IBM – Mock travel room
IEAS – TRC

Actual graduation ceremonies October 6, 2022 Please find specific guidelines

SMX Convention Center Clark pages.

B. Specific Guidelines for the Actual Graduation Ceremonies


B.1. Number of Allowed Guests
• ONLY ONE (1) PARENT OR GUARDIAN per graduating student is allowed. This is in
consideration to the big number of graduating students and the capacity of the venue.
B.2. Entrance to the Venue
• To enter the venue, every graduating student and his/her parent or guardian must present their
entry stubs and their proofs (actual vaccination card or electronic copy of the vaccination card)
of being fully vaccinated.
• Being fully vaccinated refers to someone who is at least 2-week past having received the second
dose of a two-dose vaccine or the first dose of a single dose vaccine.
• In case of not being fully vaccinated, a negative RTPCR or antigen results taken within 24
hours must be presented.
• No vaccination card OR negative RTPCR or antigen results no entry.
• Entry stubs will be distributed on October 4, 2022.

B.3. Once Graduating Students and Parent or Guardian Are Inside the Venue
• The graduating student stays in the hallway of the second floor while the parent or guardian
proceeds and stays inside the convention hall at the second floor to take their seats.

B.4. Assembly Time


• The graduating students must proceed at the hallway of the second floor for the assembly (i.e.
lining up for the processional) at 12:30pm.
• There will be two lines. Refer to the seating arrangement below to know which line you will be in.

B.5. Processional
• Processional will start at 1:00pm.
• A graduating student must occupy his/her designated seat. Please refer to your stub for the assigned
seat.
• Those who will not make it on time for the processional will take their seats at a certain point in
the program. The organizers reserve the right to identify which part of the program these
latecomers can take their seats.

B.6.Miscellaneous
• Please make sure to present your stubs to the callers during the distribution of awards and
diplomas.
• Wearing of face mask at all times is required by the SMX Convention.
• The venue will allow entrance starting at 11:00am.
• Male graduating students must wear long sleeves, neck tie, slacks, and appropriate shoes (no flip
flops or rubbers shoes allowed), and his toga.
• Female graduating students must wear proper dress and shoes (no flip flops or rubbers shoes
allowed) and her toga.
• The graduation ceremony will be livestreamed via City Information Office Facebook page.
• Only CCA authorized photographer and videographer will be allowed in the graduation area.
• Do not wear ribbons, brooches, corsage, lei, choker and any adornments.
• Do not tilt your cap. Be sure the tassel hangs properly, right after the knot at the right side. Place
your hood in place.
• Candidates are not allowed to accept flowers or gifts during any part of the commencement
exercise.
• Do not eat or chew gum during the ceremonies.
• Do not take off your shoes or your cap during the commencement exercises.
• The commencement exercises are very solemn rites. Do not talk unnecessarily during the
processional and during the ceremonies.
• Keep in step with the music, walk with poise and dignity.
• Clap only after the names of the graduates of each institute have been called. There should be no
applause after each names called.
• Mobile phones should be turned off or put on a silent mode. Taking photos with your mobile
phones in the duration of the event is not allowed.
• Return the toga to the designated personnel in charge. There will be assigned personnel to retrieve
the toga for each institute.
