Webinar Script – Example 01

This webinar script example is for a webinar with one presentation and a single presenter. This script was used for the
Wastewater Treatment Committee’s “Pretreatment – POTW Police” webinar presented on 7/28/2016.
Before the webinar is started the Moderator must signed in to the GoToWebinar website, launched the webinar and
completed the pre-webinar execution activities per the procedures listed in the “Webinar Management and Execution
Procedures” document.
To execute the webinar the Moderator should follow the start/end webinar sequential steps detailed below.
After the webinar has ended the Moderator should complete the post webinar execution activities per the procedures
listed in the “Webinar Management and Execution Procedures” document.
Start the Webinar
Start the Broadcast
For a scheduled webinar the Moderator (or Organizer) will need to start the broadcast so that the Attendees
can see and hear the presentation(s).
If the Moderator (or Organizer) used the “Mic & Speakers“ option for their audio connection then click the
‘Start Broadcast’ button in the status pane located near the top of the GoToWebinar Control Panel to start the
broadcast.
If the Moderator (or Organizer) used the “Telephone” option for their audio connection then press *1 on the
telephone to start the broadcast.
Start Recording
If the webinar is going to be recorded then click the ‘Start Recording’ button on the GoToWebinar Control
Panel.
Broadcast Script
The broadcast script is color coded italic text as follows:
 Red – Instructions used by the Moderator to control the webinar via the Control Panel.
 Blue – Script statements that do not change and used for every webinar.
 Green – Script statements that must be customized for each individual webinar.
If this broadcast script is being used as a template for another webinar then this webinar broadcast script’s
text statements shown in green font should be customized as necessary.
Webinar Introduction:
Good <afternoon>. Welcome to the <"Pretreatment – POTW Police”> webinar.
My name is <Bill Kenning> and will be the moderator for today's webinar. <I am an engineer in Maricopa
County Environmental Services Department’s Water and Wastewater Treatment Program. I am also a
member of the AZ Water Association's Wastewater Treatment Committee which is co-sponsoring today’s
webinar together with AZ Water Association’s Pretreatment Committee.>
If you are interested in becoming a member or joining a committee please visit the AZ Water
Association's home page at www.azwater.org. You can click on the 'Committees' link at the top of the
home page and then select the Committees that you find of interest.
Before we begin the webinar I have a few notes.
A short question and answer session will be held at the end of the presentation. If you have any
questions for the speaker about the presentation please type them into the Question/Chat window in the
GoToWebinar Control Panel displayed on your screen during the presentation.

webinar is available as a handout during the webinar.
You can download this handout from the GoToWebinar Control Panel’s ‘Handout’ pane by clicking on the

Presentation(s):
<Our speaker today is Ms. Lacey James. Lacey has been the City of Avondale for three years and is the
Water Resource and Regulatory Manager for Public Works. Lacey currently serves as the Vice-
Chairperson for the AZ Water Pretreatment – AZ FOG Group.
Lacey’s experience includes six years as the Lead Water Quality Inspector for the City of Peoria. Lacey
earned an Associate Degree from Maricopa County Community College, and she is currently finishing a
Public Administration bachelor’s degree through Northern Arizona University.>
<Lacey please share your presentation with the audience and introduce yourself.>
The Moderator (or an Organizer) unmutes the Presenter(s) and mutes the Moderator.
The Presenter(s) shares their Application (e.g. their PowerPoint presentation). The Application is
displayed and the Presenter(s) proceed with their voice-over comments.
When the presentation is complete The Moderator (or an Organizer) unmutes the Moderator.
Q/A Session:
<Lacey, thank you for providing this very interesting presentation about how a Pretreatment Program
protects wastewater collection systems and reclamation facilities by policing commercial and industrial
discharges to sewer systems.>
We have a few questions from the audience as follows:
The Moderator will repeat audience questions entered via the GoToMeeting Control Panel’s chat window.
The Presenter(s) will answer the questions in the time available or until finished.

when the End Webinar confirmation dialog box is displayed.
