Test of Cation and Anions-1

The salt contains Cl- and NH4+. 1) Tests showed the salt released HCl gas and formed a white AgCl precipitate, confirming the presence of Cl-. 2) The same confirmatory test for NH4+ used in a previous experiment again showed the presence of NH4+. 3) In conclusion, the salt contains chloride (Cl-) and ammonium (NH4+) ions.
