Introduction

Whenever there is changes in Stock type in SAP, a Posting change notice is created. SAP WM Posting
Change is required in order to change the stock category/special stocks in WM inventory from IM
Inventory.

Unrestricted Stock

Quality Stock Block Stock

Moving Stock from Unrestricted to Block Stock or Quality Stock

 Posting of Material Document with movement type 344 for Block stock or 322 for moving stock to
Quality. This is necessary to make the changes in Inventory level.

Step: 1 Transaction MB1B


Movement type 344 for Block stock and 322 for Quality Stock
Here we are taking example for block stock. Similar steps will be taken for Quality stock. Only
movement type gets change to 322.

Step 2: Press ENTER to go to next screen. The next screen will be as shown below.

Step 3: Now Enter the Material, Quantity Batch and Issuing Storage location.

Step 4: Press ENTER to go to next screen.


Step 5: Press ENTER button so that system verifies all the materials and goes back to previous screen.

Click on SAVE button to generate Material Document.

Creation of Transfer Order from Posting Change


Step1: Execute transaction LT05 if you know posting change number. Or Execute LT06 if you know
Material Document number.

Note: Both the transaction will give the same next screen.
The screen also shows the available stocks which can be moved block stock.

Step 2: Select the desire Storage type from from where you want to Block the stock.
And then Click on SAVE button. Next screen will be available as shown below. (I have selected
Storage type 902)
Step 3: Enter the open quantity against the location from where you want Block the material.
For example 1 quantity from bin 4500000063.

Step 4: Click on SAVE button to create the transfer Order.

Note: Transfer Order Created will not be required for confirmation as it is automatically
confirmed for both Block stock and Quality stock case if the stock was taken from 902 storage
type.

In case the stock is taken for other storage type like M01 or S01 then confirmation is needed.
You can check the same in LT21 transaction

Confirmation can be done through transaction LT12.

Confirmation of Transfer Order.

Step 1: Transaction LT12.


Enter the Transfer Order created in earlier step and Warehouse Number.

Step 2: Press ENTER to go next screen.

Step 3: Select the line item as shown above and click on SAVE button to confirm the transfer Order.
Following message will appear.
