RATIONALE:
The Philippine basic education is not only focusing the academic aspect inside the four
corners of the classroom. It also gives priority to sports in secondary education as
included in the curriculum. As a proof there are some Filipinos who qualified for the
Olympics Tournament and went back to our country bringing the victory. They are one
of the inspiration of our students who want to engage themselves in sports. This is also
a good example of sportsmanship and develop a good camaraderie between students
and the school.
Sports as included in the curriculum is a necessary precursor to develop student’s
talents and abilities to mingle with others. This will help them to avoid other vices
instead focus to their studies and learn to love sports, according to the saying “YES to
SPORTS, NO TO DRUGS”.
The students of Balirong National High School have a potential in sports and very much
willing to participate different event. That is why every year we are holding Intramurals
activity in preparation for a higher meet.
OBJECTIVES:

To develop sportsmanship, camaraderie and unity among the students, school officials,
parents and other stakeholders.
To discover and develop potential talents of the students in the field of sports and
performing arts.
To select and develop potential athletes among the students who will undergo more
trainings and represent our school in all levels of sports events/competitions.
To promote awareness among our students, faculty members and stakeholders the
value of engaging in physical activities to have a healthy lifestyle.
To promote our school in the sense that, the other school children will be informed of
the interesting activities and facilities that we have. Hence, they will be persuaded to
study or enroll in our school
IV. Project Duration
The project or activity will be conducted on February 16-17, 2023. During the opening
day and the Closing or awarding, there will be no regular classes to give time for the
search for Mr. and Miss Intramurals and Larong Pinoy. For the second day all events or
games will be done after class hours.
