Activity 14B

This document provides instructions on how to change direct questions into embedded questions. It explains that embedded questions are questions placed within another sentence, and can be inside a statement or another question. Examples are given to demonstrate direct questions versus embedded questions. The document also notes that embedded yes/no questions begin with if, whether or whether not, and embedded wh-questions begin with a question word. Statement word order should be used rather than question word order in embedded questions.

period at the end of the sentence. If the embedded question is inside
a question, use a question mark at the end of the sentence.
