RATIONALE AND PROJECT BACKGROUND:

Information and Communication Technology is one of the areas of specialization of Technology and Livelihood
Education. One of the components is Technical Drafting that focuses on helping students develop their skills in creating
technical drawings, that follows the drawing conventions and standards that adhere the K-12 curriculum and
competencies.

OBJECTIVES: The students will be able to gain mastery in the different challenges encountered through the following
teaching-learning activities:

• Grade 7 students will be able to identify and manipulate different drawing tools, materials, and equipment.
• Grade 7 students will be able to draw manually drawing plates.
• Grade 7 students will be able to draw simple floor plan.
• Grade 7 students will be able to identify and manipulate different parts of computer.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Project GUHIT : Guide, Upskill and Hone Learners In Technical Drafting, which intends to help Grade 7 students
improve their proficiency level in Technical Drafting. This project will increase their motivation and self-efficacy in their
acquisition of technical skills and improves their academic performance. The intervention is school-based instructional
program, wherein teachers of Technical Drafting will guide and help learners on how to execute and manipulate the
different drafting tools/equipment in preparation to their specialization.
