Part I
Title of the Activity: SENIOR BOY SCOUTS OF THE PHILIPPINES (BSP)
BACKYARD ENCAMPMENT 2022 - 2023
Date: November 3 - 5 , 2022
Venue: Don Marcelo C. Marty High School
Budget Allocation: Encampment Module Supplies/Kit, Certificates, Food
Source of Fund: BSP Backyard Encampment Registration Fee.
Objectives:
1. To promote DMCMHS BSP Outfit as foremost in developing the young people to become
responsible citizens and leaders in their home, school and community.
2. Celebrate with thanksgiving, sense of pride and belongingness, the founding anniversary
of BSP and the National Scouting Month.
3. Foster camaraderie among BSP members as brothers and sisters, the scouting way.
Part II
Narrative Report
Aiming to provide oppurtunity to every students to practice being independent and responsible,
learn teamwork and improve their communication skills, all in supervised and collaborative environment,
Don Marcelo C. Marty High School conducted the BSP Backyard Encampment on November 3 - 5, 2022.

Day 1
November 3, 2022

The backyard encampment started at exactly 3:00 in the afternoon. It started with the arrival and
registration of the participants and pitching up of tents per crew. After the registration,Sctr. John Paul A.
Montalla, Institurional BSP Scouting Coordinator, leads the opening of the program. Sctr. Manuela M.
Ecleo, the DMCMHS- Outfit No. 1 Institutional Head,welcomes the participants with an inspiring
message. Sctr. Aladdin N. Espanol, Institutional BSP Administration Committee Chairman, present the
scout participants and leads the Installation of Jobs to the senior scouts and the Outfit Advisers/Crew
Councilors. An overview of the encampment activity was presented by Sctr. Mark Deo M. Eclarino.
Right after the opening program, the BSP camping participants together with the adult leaders and
barangay officials/ marshals assembled for the sunset parade. They went around the vicinity of Poblacion
North going back to the school.
Exhausted but excited, the participants returned to the campus shouting their crew yell. Upon
returning to the encampment area, the participants was given time to rest and have their dinner as they
prepare themselves for the Investiture Ceremony and Brotherhood Night.
At exactly 8:00 in the evening, the Investiture Ceremony was done. A simple but solemn ceremony
was executed to welcome the new members of the outfit no. 1 scouting family. Parents of the senior scouts

witness the ceremony together with other scouting alumni who were present during the investiture
ceremony.
Happy and overwelmed, the scouters greeted everyone and prepare themselves for the Brotherhood
Night. The activity was entitled Scouts Got Talent wherein representative of each crew presented their
talents and judged by chosen outfit advisers. The Brotherhood Night ended at 11:00 in the evening.

Day 2
November 4, 2022

Excited for the activity for the second day, the scouts prepared themselves early for the morning
routine.They participated with the morning exercise. Right after the exercise, the participants had their
breakfast ready for the Base Modules and Skills Training that they will have for the day.
They actively participated to the six (6) different base modules that the adult leaders had for them
for the whole morning For base 1, Sctr. Aladdin N. Espanol discussed the Scout Ideas . Base 2 tackled
about Smartness and Good Order by Sctr. John Paul A. Montalla. A very useful topic was discussed by
Sctr. Mark Deo M. Eclarino which is Basic Life Support and Human Transfer. A timely and applicable
topic was shared by Sctr. Lovely Joy N. Eleria which talked about Basic First Aid and Bandaging for
module 4. A complicated topic about Basic Knots and Pioneering of module 5 was taught by Sctr. Jefrey
E. Menor. A very enjoyable topic of Base 6 which is about Scouts song and dance was taught by Sctr.
Annabelle M. Manila.
After completing the six different base modules and skills training, the participants were give time
to rest, have their lunch and prepare themselves for the Skill – O – Rama. For about 3:00 in the afternoon,
outdoor activity began. Ten (10) crew participated in the games as application of what they have learned in
the morning activity.
Very exhausted but the participants enjoyed a lot,.They were given time to wash up, have their
dinner and prepare for the grand campfire. During the grand camfire, the different crew presented their
yell, song and skit that are related to the theme “ Sustaining Growth.
After the grand camfire, the partipants felt the tiredness that makes the evening activity end at
about 11:00 pm.

Day 3
November 5,2022

Third and last day of the backyard encampment. Morning exercise and other morning routine were
made. After having their breakfast, the scouts enjoyed the different obstacle course that was prepared for
them.
The participants showed excitement for everyone are expected to receive awards for the effort that
they have shown.
Before the start of the awarding activity, the adult leaders had camp inspection and they instructed
all the participants to clean the camp and start packing up their things ready for the dismissal.
During the awarding ceremony, the different crew shouted their yell in every award that they
received.Proud of what they have accomplished, at exactly 9:30 in the morning, the participants went
home. They brought with them the lessons they have learned that they can apply for their daily lives. The

different things they have experienced that they will never forget. and the brotherhood/ frienship that they
have created that they will treasure forever.
