PerDev - Make A Genogram

Preliminary  Greet and welcome students in class

 Check the attendance
 Ask how they are doing and review class rules
 Let them keep their phones inside their bags and clean their
tables.

Motivation Ask the following questions to the learners.
1. In one word how do you describe your family? And why?
Activity Activity 1. My family
On a ½ crosswise paper the learners are to write down the
characteristics that they want to have in their own family. In writing
their dream family they may follow the guide questions below.
1. What type of family do you want?
2. Who are included in the family? (no. of children etc.)
3. What values do you want to inculcate in your family.
Analysis Ask the following questions to the learners.

1. How important is it to have a family?


2. Reflect on this statement “Home is where the heart is.”
Abstraction
The teacher will discuss the following topics to the learners.

Definition of family and its importance.

Different types of family structures and their descriptions and


examples.

Discuss the importance of family and the emotional, social and


spiritual legacy.

Ask if they have questions or clarification.

Assessment A 10 item quiz will be given to the class.
