English Performance Task 1 - Quarter 4
INSTRUCTION:
Construct a paragraph applying any pattern of development that you have learned. Choose one from the

2. COVID- 19 Vaccine (Advantages and Disadvantages of being vaccinated/ Reasons why some

Face to Face Classes (Advantages and Disadvantages/ Hindrances in conducting Face to Face Classes, etc.)
After almost three years of studying at their houses during the outbreak of the pandemic,
students of Bucal National Integrated School finally reached the moment of experiencing the face-to-
face learning even though the school year 2021-2022 is near to its end. After three months of studying
in their class rooms for learning, face-to-face studying seems to get a line on students like me, with its
advantages and disadvantages to learners. As one of my classmates have interviewed online by the
question, “How was your experience during the face-to face classes within three months?” Sonny
Jimenez responded, “During my first day of face-to-face classes, I felt like this type of learning was kind
of innovative for me due to the reason that I had used to study with my modules only with the help of
our teachers online and with modern technologies in our home, I felt the changes. But, with a week of
studying with this learning delivery modality, I have already adapted the environment and the
atmosphere of the school, and it helped me to discover in myself why I chose to be here, because I also
realized that my teachers have positive attitudes for us, your classmates.” With his reply, it was found
out that this kind of studying and passing the teachers’ knowledge to students closer and more
observable makes the students to discover their teachers as well as the other learners.
Through photos that teachers were forwarded to every group chats in messenger online that
sending messages and information with the current situation in their face-to-face journey with the
weakening pandemic. The advantages that I saw are: first of all, learners can focus and concentrate
harder because there will be fewer distractions in their quiet class room while answering their learning
tasks than if they were at their houses. Secondly, they are updated with the current lessons they are
studying with their teachers. Thirdly, teachers can observe their morals closer and in more direct ways.
And lastly, learners with their fellow learners can communicate and can discover each other
straightforwardly.
Even though the experience of learning closely caused positive outlook for students and
teachers, there are also a few of disadvantages in conducting face-to-face learning that hinder the way
they study. One of those is that they have to disinfect first before they can enter in their class room and
to sit down in their seats inside. As a result, it causes some minutes of delay in their time of studying and
answering, as well as to teachers discussing their lessons. But with this problem, teachers still managed
to keep the students updated as they have their extra time in their houses after the class. That is due to
the reason that discussion and learning practices in school only used the half of the days they had in
three months.
With the limited face-to face learning that was conducted in Bucal National Integrated School, it
can be seen that there are much more advantages than the hindrances that it causes to students.
Therefore, it can be said that students have also learnt the knowledge that they need to learn in well-
organized time through the teachers’ observation to them. For the reasons that were mentioned, it can
also be said that face-to face learning delivery modality is better for students. It gave an opportunity for
Maragondon Bucaleans to experience the feeling of studying in their school and can carry that
experience for the next school year, which hopefully will give all the students their wanted type of
learning, not only for small groups, but for the whole school community.
