INTRODUCTION
Objective(s)
The goal of this study was to look into how social media affects students.
Its specific goal is to figure out who the respondents are based on their responses.
Birth year, gender, and the most popular social networking sites
Access to social media, as well as the frequency of use, are all factors to consider.

1. The goal of this research is to explore how social media influences students’ self-esteem.

CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
INPUT
The Respondent will be the grade 12 SHS. To find out how excessive use of
social media that affect the academic performance of the students .
PROCESS
The researcher will get a consent or request letter. Gathering data using survey and

This research investigates the interaction of social media and its effects on students'
crowds being more powerful. who will use technology to bring people together simply because it
can people create, share, and bookmarks and not work at an alarming rate on social media the
only world has changed in the last 10 years currently social media websites are almost constantly
at 97% used by plugged teenagers. majors, there are numerous possibilities available on the
internet networking platforms such as but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tiktok,
YouTube, etc. the power of social media and networking to discriminate useful information as
the result of social media has the most far-reaching implications for classrooms admonishment
and the total academic system.
DEFINITION OF TERMS
As words may mean differently in different contexts, the following definition are given
us the words used as intended to be understood for the purpose of this study.
Social media:
They are forms of electronic communication which facilitate interactive base on certain
interests. Social media include web and mobile technology.
Social Networking:
The use of internet to make information about yourself available to other especially
people you share an interest with to send message to them.
Media:
Are all those media technologies that are intended to reach a large audience by mass
communication. “They are message communicated through a mass medium to a number of
people.
Academic:
It is concerned with studying from books as opposed by a practical work.
Students:
Someone who Studying at School.
METHODOLOGY
Research design:
To assess the impact of social media usage on students' academic achievement, a
Qualitative Method study design will be use. Academic performance of students will be the
dependent variable, while social media will be the independent variable.
Participants:
50 senior high schools students in different schools in Ormoc city will be the
respondents.
Sampling Size:
The purposive sampling method will be use. The collectes data will be carefully evaluates
and the results were recordes since they were requires for the analysis of this research study.
Appendices:
Effects like cyber bullying, sexting, privacy issues, social injustice and ignorance, effects
on family values, Infringement of privacy and lack of pure judgments are some of them.
Research environment:
The detailed information will be collected using google form.
The researchers used a self-made questionnaire as their primary instrument to gather
information and data. They also conduct some interview with the students to inquire about the
topic information needed by the researchers to satisfy their objective consisted of first hand
sources in order for them to get accurate results.
Questionnaire contains the profile of the respondents according to year level, age, sex,
most visited social media, medium used, frequency of using social media, means of
accessing the social media and the general weighted average.

3.) Which social networks do you utilize the most?
4.) Do you believe social networking sites influence how you speak or write in everyday
situations?
5.) What are the personal benefits of using social networking sites?

7.) How would you rate social media in terms of your academic life good or bad?
