English4 Q3 DLP Week2 Write-Directions-Using-Signal-Words

This lesson plan is for an English class in Grade 4. It focuses on teaching students to write directions using signal words. Over the course of 5 days, students will learn to identify common signal words used in writing directions and use them to write their own set of directions. They will develop an understanding of how signal words help provide clarity when writing directions. To motivate the students, the teacher will sing a song about road safety and discuss its meaning. Examples of directions will be presented, with difficult words unlocked first to aid comprehension. Students will be guided to see similarities between following directions for crossing the street and cooking.
