Assignment 1 - Tips
Assignment 1 - Tips
This document provides you with tips/checklist on how to complete assignment 1. However, you still
need to read assignment 1 information that is provided in LMS/Moodle.
- Have you created a storyboard that contains the main ideas (6 – 12 boards should be
sufficient) that you plan to discuss in your recorded presentation?
- Have you created a transcript for your recorded presentation?
- Is an appropriate writing style (e.g., use “I” appropriately) used in the transcript?
- Have you incorporated relevant concepts and theories (e.g., sources of culture, CQ, DMIS,
High Contact VS Low Contact Cultures, Barna’s 6 Stumbling Blocks, High Context VS Low
Context Cultures, etc.)?
- Have you provided in-text references in your transcript by using APA style?
o All concepts, theories, and information that are not your own ideas/works must be
correctly referenced.
o See ICMS style guide. Pay attention to referencing the work of an author that
appears in another source. Many students did not reference it correctly.
- Have you created a reference list by using APA style?
- Have you paraphrased/written the transcript using your own words and that your work
contains no plagiarism?
- Is your recorded presentation visually attractive?
- Have you shown creativity in your recorded presentation (e.g., use images, animation, slide
transition, background music)?
- Is your voice clear?
