a. What is language?
Words (basic components of sentences, which are stored in memory) and rules
(what we put together and give words an order, within phrases and
sentences based on established parameters; such as syntax, morphology,
phonology). All of this is connected through linguistic interfaces, which allow
us to produce and understand our own language, as well as that of others.
c. What is the basic explanation for the fact that a person speaks a
foreign language with a specific accent?
The fact that a person enabled a foreign language with a specific accent is due to
having a disturbed ear with his mother tongue and even knowing another
language he maintains.
