SBC Installation Instructions

Installation guide:

- Step 1: Rack Mounting

If possible, please mount the SBC’s in the same rack where the following devices are located:

- Step 2: Connect to the SBC with laptop

- Step 3: Configure the basic settings

The Default IP route of each SBC should be the same gateway IP of Ethernet 2.

Please also add a static route in each SBC as follows:

Once it is finished, please follow this list of tasks:

- Take screenshots of each SBC configuration and ping tests


o Screenshot of firmware version, Serial Number and also MAC Address
o Screenshot of IP configuration
o Screenshot of routing configuration (default gateway and static route)
o Screenshot of successful ping test to each gateway IP from Ethernet 1 and Ethernet
2
- Ensure each SBC is labelled with the SBC name
- Ensure each SBC Power Socket is labelled with the SBC name
- Building name, floor number and room name where all devices are installed
- Take note of the Rack ID for each device:
o Rack ID of each SBC
o Rack ID of each customer switch
o Rack ID of Voice Gateways
- Take photos of each devices:
o Photos of each rack
o Close up photos of each SBC, front and back, showing labels and cables
o Close up photos of power socket of SBC (with label)
o Close up photos of front and back of customer switch showing labels and
connections to SBC
o Close up photos of front and back of voice gateways showing labels and cable
connections
