considered to be the best in the industry.
Our experience and knowledge, combined with our unique manufacturing process, have developed and evolved in line with the
innovations in tungsten carbide technology. The SupaCutt composite rod product range from Cutting & Wear is backed by our ISO9001
quality system, providing our customers with the assurance that they are using a premium product that meets the challenging demands
that are present downhole. We offer a number of options covering a range of sizes, and all of our composite rod is available as standard,
bare, and flux coated so we are sure to be able to meet your requirements. Our dedicated sales team can help you decide which
solution will work best for the job at hand.

SupaCutt Xtreme
SupaCutt Xtreme is the premium composite rod for downhole
milling ability. Fragments of tungsten carbide are blocky with
sharp edges and corners for long life and aggressive cutting
performance. The tungsten carbide pieces hold gauge for longer
downhole, therefore providing faster cutting & longer life.

SupaCutt
SupaCutt is a composite rod used for cutting applications and is
manufactured from tungsten carbide to produce high quality
angled fragments. Available in a range of sizes and blended to
optimise the packing density when laid.

SupaWear
SupaWear Composite Rod is used for wear applications and is
manufactured from tungsten carbide processed to produce
rounded fragments. It comes in a range of sizes and is then
blended to optimize packing density when laid.

StarCutt & Sharkstooth

These high performance composite rods use our renowned StarCutt and Sharkstooth
inserts providing you with sharp aggressive cutting edges and the robustness required
on crucial areas of your milling tool.

SupaCutt Nickel Chrome Boron

Our Nickel Chrome Boron composite rods are ideal when application is required on a non-magnetic tool
or component. These highly versatile composite rods can be manufactured for both cutting application
using steel cutting grade crushed carbide, as well as wear protection, using our CW40 or CW60 grade
wear protection inserts. Fully non-magnetic grade composite rods are available held in a matrix of our
K20NM metal spray powder. Composite rods for cutting applications can be manufactured using Zinc
free Ni-Cu-Si-B matrix.

Wear Protection Inserts

Cutting & Wear stock a comprehensive selection of wear protection inserts available in a variety
of designs and shapes, including trapezoidal. Once applied to a tool the inserts can be infilled
with either metal spray powder or composite rod to offer a wear resistant surface to meet your
application needs.

TSP Xtreme
This innovative insert combines the hardness and abrasive resistance of thermally stable
polycrystalline (TSP) diamond with the toughness of tungsten carbide. Easy to apply to steel
using the patented QuickTip process.

Rectangular Inserts
Our premium grade of tungsten carbide for wear protection inserts is CW40 which
provides the ideal mix of wear and impact resistance. We also offer our grade CW60 to
suit all your non-magnetic applications. Both can be paired with our range of Metal Spray
Powders ensuring you have superior wear protection.

Diamond Impregnated Inserts

Diamond Impregnated Inserts can be used on tools to create a hardwearing surface and are
an ideal mix of wear and impact resistance. These inserts can be applied with our MSK30
powder and are suited to a range of size specific applications.

Trapezoidal Inserts
Manufactured to our CW40 specification, trapezoidal inserts are the ideal mix of wear and
impact resistance. They are compatible with both our patented QuickTip system and our
SupaWear composite rod to provide high quality HF2000 hardfacing.

ReadyTip Sheets
Designed for use with the QuickTip system our ReadyTip sheets consist of precisely spaced
stabiliser inserts attached to an adhesive paper backing for immediate use. This allows for
rapid application of the inserts as they are tacked down using the QuickTip system. They are
available in a range of sizes, and can be made custom to your specific needs.

down hole. The majority of our milling inserts are optimised for use with our pattented QuickTip
system for ease of application.

HF2000 Series
HF20001 & HF20002 tungsten carbide cutting inserts are part of the fishing &
milling family and have been designed specifically for multiple chip breaking for
downhole milling applications. They are made from premium CW6 metal cutting
grade tungsten carbide. The inserts can be used on all types of downhole bladed
mills and are available in copper coated, nickel coated and standard options.

Brand X Inserts
Brand X Inserts are made from premium CW6 metal cutting grade tungsten
carbide, and have been optimised for use with our QuickTip process with 3 feet
placed on the bottom of the inserts for ease of application. The inserts measure
3/8″ x 1/4″ round however we also supply a smaller Brand X which are available
measuring 1/4″ x 1/4″. As standard, we also sell these inserts in halves.

Oval Inserts
Our Oval inserts are made from premium CW6 metal grade cutting tungsten
carbide, and the inclusion of feet on the bottom makes them optimised for easy
application using with our QuickTip process. These inserts are available in a
range of sizes, and with each size also being available in half insert format they
are suitable for a wide range of jobs and applications.
