Description
Bucket tooth and tooth adapter and tooth point manufacturing method
{BUCKET TOOTH, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING TOOTH ADAPTOR AND
TOOTH POINT USING OF BUCKET TOOTH}
On the other hand, the tooth can be largely divided into a tooth stepper that is
fixedly coupled to the bucket by bolting or welding, and a tooth point that is
coupled to the tooth adapter and directly contacts the excavation surface while
digging the excavation surface. Here, the tooth made of a tooth adapter and a
tooth point is a part which is indirectly or in direct contact with the excavation
surface in order to mine soil or rock, and thus excellent wear resistance and
impact resistance are required.
By the way, nickel (Ni) is a very tough material and effective in strengthening
the overall toughness of the tooth, but since it is an expensive material, the
amount added is limited. In addition, the molybdenum (Mo) is effective in
improving the overall wear resistance of the tooth while preventing the temper
brittleness (a phenomenon in which the impact resistance of the product is
sharply lowered due to the tempering treatment), which is a kind of defects
generated during the heat treatment process. (Mo) was also an expensive
material, so the amount added was limited. That is, if the nickel (Ni) and
molybdenum (Mo) is sufficiently added to produce a tooth adapter and / or a
tooth point having excellent wear resistance and impact resistance, there is a
problem that the manufacturing cost increases accordingly.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention includes a tooth
adapter fixed to the tip of the bucket of the excavator and a tooth point coupled
to the tooth adapter to excavate the excavation surface, at least one of the tooth
adapter and the tooth point Is prepared by water treatment of the high
manganese steel composition, the high manganese steel composition, the
carbon (C) 0.9 ~ 1.3% by weight, silicon (Si) 0.01 ~ 0.8% by weight, manganese
(Mn) 11 ~ A bucket tooth comprising 14 wt%, phosphorus (P) 0.01-0.1 wt%,
sulfur (S) 0.01-0.05 wt% and the balance of iron (Fe) is provided.
The present invention also includes a tooth adapter fixedly coupled to a bucket
tip of an excavator and a tooth point coupled to the tooth adapter to excavate an
excavation surface, wherein at least one of the tooth adapter and the tooth point
is a high manganese steel composition. The high manganese steel composition
is prepared by treatment, the carbon (C) 0.9 ~ 1.3% by weight, silicon (Si) 0.01
~ 0.8% by weight, manganese (Mn) 11-14% by weight, phosphorus ( P) 0.01 to
0.07% by weight, sulfur (S) 0.01 to 0.04% by weight, chromium (Cr) 1.5 to 2.5%
by weight and the balance of iron (Fe) is provided.
The present invention includes a tooth adapter fixed to the tip of the bucket of
the excavator and a tooth point coupled to the tooth adapter to excavate an
excavation surface, wherein at least one of the tooth adapter and the tooth point
is a high manganese steel composition. The high manganese steel composition
is prepared by treatment, based on the total weight of the total composition,
carbon (C) 1 to 1.35% by weight, silicon (Si) 0.01 to 0.8% by weight,
manganese (Mn) 11-14% by weight, phosphorus ( P) 0.01 to 0.07% by weight,
sulfur (S) 0.01 to 0.04% by weight, chromium (Cr) 2 to 3% by weight, vanadium
(V) 0.4 to 0.7% by weight and the balance of iron (Fe) To provide.
On the other hand, the present invention provides a tooth adapter and a tooth
point manufacturing method used in the tooth for the bucket, first, the method of
manufacturing the tooth adapter fixedly coupled to the bucket tip of the
excavator, the raw material is heated in the melting furnace to form a high
manganese steel composition Manufacturing high manganese steel
composition to manufacture; Molding the external shape of the tooth adapter by
inserting the manufactured high manganese steel composition into a mold; A
water-treatment step of water-treating the molded tooth adapter in a heat
treatment furnace; And a tempering treatment step of tempering the water-
treated tooth adapter in a temperature range of 200 ° C. to 600 ° C .;
In addition, the method of manufacturing the tooth point coupled to the tooth
adapter according to the present invention to excavate the excavation surface,
manufacturing a high manganese steel composition manufacturing a high
manganese steel composition by heating the raw material in the melting
furnace; Molding the external shape of the tooth point by inserting the
manufactured high manganese steel composition into a mold; A water-
treatment step of water-treating the molded tooth point in a heat treatment
furnace; And a tempering treatment step of tempering the water-treated treated
tooth point in a temperature range of 200 to 600 ° C.
The tooth for a bucket according to the present invention is made of a tooth
adapter and a tooth point manufactured by subjecting a high manganese steel
composition to water treatment, thereby improving the overall impact resistance
and wear resistance of the tooth. In addition, it is possible to provide a tooth
adapter and a tooth point with improved impact resistance and wear resistance
without using nickel (Ni) and molybdenum (Mo), which are expensive raw
materials, thereby reducing the overall manufacturing cost of the tooth.
Here, at least one of the tooth adapter and the tooth point is manufactured by
subjecting the high manganese steel composition to water-repellent treatment
to improve the overall wear resistance and impact resistance of the tooth. That
is, at least one of the tooth adapter and the tooth point, or both the tooth
adapter and the tooth point are manufactured by subjecting the high
manganese steel composition to water treatment.
Carbon (C) is a solid solution to iron (Fe) to perform the role of curing the iron
(Fe) through heat treatment, etc. If the content is outside the range of 0.9 to
1.3% by weight of the tooth adapter and / or the tooth point Since impact
resistance and abrasion resistance can be reduced, it is good to be included in
the said range.
Silicon (Si) is added to the alloy based on iron (Fe) to reduce the plastic
deformation of the substrate and to enhance the wear resistance. Such silicon
(Si) may be included in the high manganese steel composition, but may be
included in an amount of 0.01 to 0.8% by weight in consideration of the impact
resistance and wear resistance of the tooth adapter and / or tooth point.
Phosphorus (P) and sulfur (S) do not have to be included in the high
manganese steel composition, but considering the impact resistance and wear
resistance of the tooth adapter and / or the tooth point is included in 0.01 to
0.1% by weight and 0.01 to 0.05% by weight, respectively It is good.
A tooth for a bucket according to the present invention includes a tooth adapter
fixedly coupled to a bucket tip of an excavator and a tooth point coupled to the
tooth adapter to excavate an excavation surface.
On the other hand, according to an example of the present invention, the high
manganese steel composition, based on the total weight of the total
composition, carbon (C) 0.9-1.3% by weight, silicon (Si) 0.01-0.8% by weight,
manganese (Mn) 11-14% by weight, 0.01 to 0.07% by weight of phosphorus
(P), 0.01 to 0.04% by weight of sulfur (S), 1.5 to 2.5% by weight of chromium
(Cr) and the balance of iron (Fe).
Detailed description of carbon (C), silicon (Si) and manganese (Mn) is the same
as described in the 'tooth for buckets using the high manganese steel
composition 1' and will be omitted.
Phosphorus (P) and sulfur (S) do not have to be included in the high
manganese steel composition, but considering the impact resistance and wear
resistance of the tooth adapter and / or the tooth point is included in 0.01 to
0.7% by weight and 0.01 to 0.04% by weight, respectively It is good.
A tooth for a bucket according to the present invention includes a tooth adapter
fixedly coupled to a bucket tip of an excavator and a tooth point coupled to the
tooth adapter to excavate an excavation surface.
On the other hand, according to an example of the present invention, the high
manganese steel composition, carbon (C) 1 ~ 1.35% by weight, silicon (Si) 0.01
~ 0.8% by weight, manganese (Mn) 11-14% by weight, Phosphorus (P) 0.01 to
0.07% by weight, sulfur (S) 0.01 to 0.04% by weight, chromium (Cr) 2 to 3% by
weight, vanadium 0.4 to 0.7% by weight and the balance of iron (Fe).
Chromium (Cr) is also included to perform a role as described in the 'tooth for a
bucket using a high manganese steel composition 2.' At this time, in
consideration of the content with other elements is preferably included in 2 to
3% by weight. If the content of chromium (Cr) is less than 2% by weight yield
strength and oxidation resistance is lowered, if it exceeds 3% by weight,
brittleness is increased and impact resistance is lowered.
Vanadium (V) refines the grains to increase the toughness of the tooth adapter
and / or tooth point, and generates stable carbide to increase wear resistance of
the tooth adapter and / or tooth point. The vanadium (V) is limited in the amount
of addition because it is a high temperature evaporation when the oxide
V 2 O 3 vapor pressure is high, at least 0.4% by weight in order to limit the
addition amount to 0.7% by weight and to increase toughness and carbide
formation It is good to be included.
Tooth adapters and tooth points made of the high manganese steel composition
described above can improve the impact resistance and wear resistance even
without using expensive nickel (Ni) and molybdenum (Mo). Accordingly, when
the tooth including the tooth adapter and the tooth point is used in the bucket,
the overall impact resistance and wear resistance of the tooth may be improved,
and thus its life may be lengthened.
For reference, a coupling method of the bucket and the tooth may be any one,
and a non-limiting example is the tooth adapter is fixedly coupled to the tip of
the bucket by bolting or welding, and the tooth adapter and the tooth point are
Can be combined in a threaded or bolted manner.
Meanwhile, the tooth adapter and tooth point used in the tooth for the bucket
are manufactured by tempering the high manganese steel composition to
improve impact resistance and abrasion resistance, and a specific
manufacturing method of such tooth adapter and tooth point is used. Referring
to Figure 1 divided into each as follows.
The tooth adapter molded in the molding step <S102> is subjected to water
treatment in a heat treatment furnace. The cast tooth adapter is not a complete
austenite structure. Therefore, water treatment is performed to control austenite
grain structure and increase toughness. In this case, water treatment is
performed by heat treatment of the tooth adapter for 1 to 2 hours in a
temperature range of 950 to 1050 ° C., followed by water cooling treatment. Is
done in a way. As such, when the tooth adapter is water-treated, the tooth
adapter can be changed to have a complete austenite structure, thereby
improving toughness and wear resistance. For reference, the temperature for
water-cooling the tooth adapter heat-treated in the heat treatment furnace is
approximately 25 ° C.
Tempering treatment of the tooth adapter treated in the water treatment step
<S103> in the temperature range of 200 ~ 600 ℃. The tooth adapter made of a
high manganese steel composition has excellent impact resistance and
abrasion resistance even if only water treatment is performed, and residual
stress may remain in the tooth adapter subjected to water treatment only.
Therefore, by re-heating the tooth adapter in the temperature range of 200 ~
600 ℃ (preferably 200 ℃) it is possible to remove the residual stress remaining
in the tooth adapter, further improve the ductility and toughness.
[Manufacturing method of tooth point]
Since it is the same as the description of the high manganese steel composition
manufacturing step <S101> of the tooth adapter manufacturing method will be
omitted.
Since the tooth point formed in the molding step <S202> is subjected to a
water-repellent treatment in a heat treatment furnace, a detailed description
thereof will be omitted because it is the same as the description of the water-
treatment step <S103> of the tooth adapter manufacturing method.
Tempering the tooth point treated in the water treatment step <S203> in the
temperature range of 200 ~ 600 ℃, detailed description is the same as the
description of the tempering step <S104> of the tooth adapter manufacturing
method. It will be omitted.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail with reference
to Examples and Test Examples.
To prepare a high manganese steel composition by putting the raw material into
the melting furnace in the composition shown in Table 1, after the high
manganese steel composition was added to the sand mold, after about 8 hours
to shake off the sand to form a tooth adapter. The molded tooth adapter was
heat treated at 1000 ° C. for 1 to 2 hours in a heat treatment furnace, and then
quenched in water to prepare a tooth adapter. At this time, the temperature
quenched in water was 25 ℃ normal temperature.

The impact resistance and wear resistance tests were performed in the same
manner as in Test Examples 1 and 2 by adjusting the tempering treatment
temperature of the tooth adapters prepared in Examples 1 to 3, and the results
are shown in FIG. 4.
On the other hand, while the impact resistance and abrasion resistance was
tested only with Examples 1 to 6 relating to the tooth adapter used for the tooth
for a bucket, even if the tooth point was manufactured and tested with the
above-described high manganese steel composition, it showed excellent impact
resistance and abrasion resistance. It can be self-evident. Of course, it will also
be apparent that the use of a tooth adapter having a tooth adapter and a tooth
point having such excellent impact resistance and wear resistance in the bucket
improves the overall impact resistance and wear resistance of the tooth.
As described above, the detailed description of the present invention has been
made by the accompanying drawings and the embodiment, but the above-
described embodiment is only described with reference to a preferred example
of the present invention, the present invention is limited only to the above
embodiment It should not be understood that the scope of the present invention
is to be understood by the following claims and their equivalent concepts.
