9:45AM-10:00AM DOMINO MAGIC TRICK FACILITATOR

Simple and clever trick of the mind

This is a quick illustration of how easily the brain can be fooled into believing something unreal.
It can be a useful demonstration to groups of lateral thinking, and how the brain does not always
think correctly about things, even though at the time we can be convinced that our thinking is
correct.
The trick is like a lot of other magic; it's a deception based on distraction. The brain is persuaded
to focus on a false element within the situation.
Fear, and many related emotional responses such as prejudice, anger, distress, etc, are typically
borne of distraction by false evidence.FEAR is False Evidence Appearing Real.

11.30AM– TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITY SESSION 1: FACILITATOR

01.00PM THE ‘I’ IN THE ‘TEAM’ IDENTITY
‘1st Name 1st Letter Identity’ is an activity where all individuals will be asked to walk around
the hotel randomly and pick an item whose name starts with the first letter of their names. Each
person will then get an opportunity to give a pitch as to how the item picked speaks something
about them in the format – ‘James, Jug, Jocular’.
This brings out the concept of Personal Identity in a team set-up as well as Creative Pitching.
 Participants to take a walk around and pick unique items whose name startswith the 1st
letter of their 1st name;
 Participants to explain their identity in the format ‘1st Name – Identity Item – Descriptive
Term with same 1st letter;

‘Sight-minus-Sound’ activity will then be used to divide the group into 4 teams. The group will
be asked to do picked sounds with closed eyes until the 4 sound-groups all get into their 4 teams.
This brings out the concept of integrity and randomness in group formations.
 Participants to randomly pick piece of paper with 1 of 4 animal sounds and not show nor
tell;
 Participants to close eyes and make sound as per picked piece of paper;
 Partipants to make sounds until they find themselves in groups of same sound;
 That forms the teams;

‘The Embossed Identity’ activity will require to work alongside a sand sculptor provided on set
to work on a unique sand sculpt that will blend with chosen ‘identity items’ of individuals in
their group to be placed in a creative pattern that will uniquely represent them as a group
logo/identity.
This brings out the concept of Group Identity as a conscious mix-and-match of Personal Identity
in a team set-up as well as Creative Design with Group Thinking.
 Participants will familiarize with identity items of each of their members;
 Participants will be introduced to the sand sculptor(s);
 Participants will design on paper a group logo/identity that incorporates sand sculpt and
chosen identity items;
 Participants will work with sand sculptor to develop the group logo/identity as designed;

2.00PM–03.15PM STRETCH SKETCH & SEAT TO SIT FACILITATOR
‘Stretch Sketch & Seat toSit’ is an ice-breaker incorporating a sequence of easy stretches that
prepares the body for movement after a period of rest.
Guests stand in a circle side by side (close enough so that shoulders touch). Instruct the group to
turn 90° to the right so that everyone is facing the back of the person in front of them. Have
participants put both hands on the shoulders of the person in front of them. Then ask everyone to
sit down slowly on the count of three. They sit back on the knees of the person in back of them
forming a continuous sitting circle. Once the group has held the position for a 30sec or a minute,
have everyone stand up at the same time.
Some people are likely to feel uncomfortable with the idea of getting so close to other people -
literally sitting in their lap (or a least on their knees).
