Narrative Report
On the second day of Learning Action Cell, at exactly 8 o’clock in the morning, the
master of ceremonies is Mrs. Rosiell D. Dumalaon. The prayer was led by Mrs. Jacquelou
Reunir, followed by the National Anthem, which was hand gestured by Mrs. Ethel Requerman.
A very meaningful food for thought from Mrs. Edelmira Cayanan and a spirited roll call from
Sylvia Bautista.
And to formally start the Learning Action Cell, a coherent opening remark was given by
our dearest principal, Mr. Luciano Santiago.
I, Ariana Aleksandra Suzara was the speaker for the day. These are the topics assigned
for me; Developing Thinking Skills: How Children Learn Math/ Numeracy Activities: The
Concept of Number sense and counting/ Numeracy Activities: Place Value and the Decimal
System.
In our daily lives, we should put the four pillars to use and associate fundamental ideas.
because mathematics cannot be solved. According to Stan Gudder, “The essence of mathematics
is not to make simple things complicated but to make complicated things simple.” All involves
math just like comparing things which is bigger and smaller; going to groceries; paying on the
stores.
It is crucial that we teach arithmetic to younger students in the same way that we teach
rote counting and one-to-one correspondence. For students between the ages of 4 and 6, it is an
early learning math skills course.
