SEPTEMBER 30, OCTOBER 7, 14, 21, 28 2022

Understanding Inclusive Education undermines the idea of Special Education


(SPED). To promote this kind of environment, Alitagtag Central School was able to
accomplish an episode of session about SPED entitled: “ ORIENTATION OF SPECIAL
EDUCATION AND TEACHING STRATEGIES FOR LEARNERS WITH DISABILITIES”.
Smooth flow during the opening program was given. The speaker was able to
deliver it on time and explain the meanings and jargons that the attendees might have
difficult to understand. During the session, some teachers clarify the kind of disability that
they need to tag on the Learning Information System (LIS). Difference between Inclusion,
partial Inclusion and mainstreamed was also tackled. Differences as well on Learning
Disability and its types like Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, and Dyspraxia was
cleared.
Teaching Strategies and other methods of techniques was discussed according to
its use and given a sample scenario within the classroom utilization. UDL, Differentiated
Instructions and its principles has been the main topic in elaborating these two new
methods.
During the insights and experiences, teachers was able to share their experiences
who experience to handle a mainstream and inclusion program and able to cite teaching
methods and strategies for them.
During the last LAC Session, they were also given time to accomplish
Individualized Educational Plan as their output during the September SLAC Session.
“They are indeed special lalo sa needs ng mga bata. Hindi natin sila pwedeng ikumpara
sa ibang bata kasi lhat ng bata ay espesyal.”, Mam Adaya said.

Objectives Was able to target like, improving personal productivity, being well
verse in handling Learners with Disabilities, Teachers are now more equip in handling
Learners with Disabilities (LWD) and now acquire new knowledge on making an IEP.
