Turmeric

➢ Curcuma longa and its extracts such as curcumin have been used in Ayurvedic medicine for centuries due to their various therapeutic properties including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anticarcinogenic activity. ➢ Studies show that curcumin reduces inflammation and attenuates liver damage in ethanol-exposed mice by reducing oxidative stress. Curcumin also decreases severity of pain and improves knee function in osteoarthritis patients. ➢ Turmisol is a standardized extract of Curcuma longa containing curcuminoids, which are the active components. It has better bioavailability than 95% pure curcuminoids and may provide health benefits at lower doses.

Standardized extract of Curcuma longa (Turmeric)

Turmisol is a standardized extract of rhizomes of Curcuma longa, a branded extract of
Prakruti Product. Curcumin , Cis the principal active ingredient found in turmeric, a plant
used in traditional Asian diets and herbal medicines.

Why Turmisol?

• Turmisol TM is chemically standardized for the active component (curcuminoids) by HPLC analysis.

• Manufactured in a GMP and ISO 9001-2000 certified manufacturing facility.

• The product is Kosher certified.

Turmisol-WD has better bioavailability compared with 95% pure curcuminoids. Thus improved bioavailability is
important for higher efficacy of the curcuminoids. Based on this when specified needs arise, developed formulation
can be given to maintain the contentious uphold of the curcuminoids in blood. This water dispersible curcuminoids
preparation, especially at a lower dosage, may be an ideal candidate to obtain benefits of curcumin. Turmisol-WD
disperses easily in aqueous system; as well as available as best ingredient choice for dry drink mixes and functional
foods.
