The main aim of this guide is to provide students with an introduction to the University’s online
resources and more specifically to the Student Panel (SIS) and the Virtual Learning
Environment (Moodle).
This guide will commence with an introduction to the Student Panel Platform and then followed
by login related instructions as well as a module registration guide.
The next chapter will concentrate on the University’s Virtual Learning Environment by providing
login instructions and a general overview of its features and main blocks.
Chapter four gives a general overview of the University’s Support page and the final chapter
provides the necessary contact information for the students.

Username: It is the personal email address you used to register with us.
Password: It is the password sent to you via email after you have completed your enrolment as
advised by your admission’s adviser. Make sure to check your spam/junk folder as well.
The image below displays how a typical registration email from the University should look like.
Image 2.1 A Typical Registration Email containing your username and password.
2.1.2 Instructions
a) Navigate at https://marjon-online.com/
http://marjon-online.com/students/login
You will then be presented with the login screen requesting your username and password (see
image 2.2).
b) Enter the correct username and password as defined in the definitions section above, and
click the Login button.
After using the correct username and password and clicking the Login button, you should be
presented with the front page of the Student Panel, which must look similar to Image 2.3 below.
a) You are using your personal email address which you have used to register with us as the
username.
b) You are using the correct password sent to you in the registration email. It is the password
sent to you via email after you have completed your enrolment as advised by your admission’s
adviser. Make sure to check your spam/junk folder as well.
c) You are writing your password as it is with capital and non-capital letters where needed. All
passwords are case sensitive.
d) If you are copying and pasting the password, make sure that no spaces/empty space is being
copied.
In case you are already doing all of the above and still facing issues, you may use the
Password Manager which is available in the Login Area of the Student Panel (SIS) as a link, or
navigate directly at https://marjon-online.com/pmanager.
The Password Manager allows you to change or reset your password. The new password can
be used to log on to the University’s Student Panel (SIS) and the Virtual Learning Environment.
Please bear in mind that Virtual Learning Environment accounts are automatically created only
for students with at least one registered module. If a student has not registered to at least one
module yet (current or past module), then access to the VLE is not provided at that point.
2.5).
In case an overdue instalment exists, it will be displayed in red color and have its status set to
Overdue. By having an overdue instalment, a student will not be able to register for a module;
therefore she/he must use the Make Payment option in order to pay the overdue amount.
You can also check your Student Balance through the block located in the right side of your
Student Panel account as shown below:
The PDF Statement (shown below) displays all the transactions you make in your account.
On the debit side it shows your orders and how much each module costs.
On the credit side it shows the scholarships for each module plus your deposits.
It does not matter if the Total Balance is minus or plus. At the bottom of the page, you can find
the box Remaining Due Balance, where it shows the date and the amount of your next
payment as well as any outstanding instalments you may have.
b) Navigate to the Modules section through the navigation menu on your left side. You
should see a list with all the courses available in your academic programme. You can
distinguish the available from the unavailable modules by examining the Availability
column in the right column. The image below only the course with code MBA-622 is
shown as available for registration.
Image 2.6 The Modules section displaying all the modules for the logged in user’s
programme. The big blue arrow indicates the only available module for registration.
c) ) Click on the See available button located next to the open for registrations module.
It is crucial to click on the See available button and not on the module’s name or
code.
d) You should then see the starting and ending date of the module, the tutor’s name
and the places left. In order to proceed with the registration, you must click on the
Register button as shown in the images below.
e) The final step is to confirm that you have selected the correct module for
registration, choose the payment method and click on the Continue button.
f) If there are no financial issues involved, you should now receive a Thank you page,
otherwise you should see a Transaction Failed page either due to insufficient funds
or because you have reached the limit allowed for simultaneous modules.
g) In case of a successful registration you should also receive an email containing your
module details and the Virtual Learning Environment’s URL (See the next chapter for
instructions on how to login and use the VLE).
b) In the module’s registration email, you will not receive a new username and
password for the VLE. Username and password for the VLE are the same with those
used for the Student Panel (explained in the next chapters).
c) Gmail accounts are provided to all students upon registering to their first module.
Gmail accounts are activated only when students access the VLE at least one time.
All accounts have as a default username the student ID. For example, a student
d) In case you notice an error message in your VLE’s Gmail Block, don’t panic since
most probably your Gmail account is not yet activated by our Technical Team.
This section will act as an introduction to the University’s VLE, beginning with login related
information and then followed by a general description of the VLE, its main areas, blocks and
services.

the name of the event i.e “Study chapter 3 of MBA-232”. In the description field you may
give a more detailed description of the scheduled event. Finally the next step is to set
the start date of the event, its duration and if it is going to be repeated or not.
e) Now if you click on Student Area through the Navigation block and place your mouse

Image3.17 Tutor’s details, message link and the font resizer tool.
The second part is the general introduction message accompanied with introductory material to the
course.

located either in the topics’ section or in the introduction area of each module. Finally,
depending on the number of assignments for each course, there might be multiple submission
links each one for a different assignment.

must immediately send an email to his/her tutor informing him/her about the technical issues
and attaching the assignment file as a proof of evidence. The student should also contact
the Technical Team informing them about the technical issue. Please be as descriptive as
possible when describing the issue.
Access to the support page, is given 1-2 days after a student has registered to a course and
logged in for the first time into the University’s VLE.
