Paint Work

This risk assessment form evaluates the risks associated with painting work. It identifies two primary hazards: fire and explosion from painting activities, and working at heights. For fire and explosion risks, control measures include isolating materials, using only flame-proof electrical appliances, prohibiting painting near gas or welding work, and only allowing skilled workers. For working at heights, control measures are using full body harnesses anchored above head height and fall arrestors to prevent accidental falls. The residual risk of injury or fatality from both hazards is rated as 4 out of 10 after implementing these control measures.
