(GA) VS PROGRAM INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES (PILO)


FOR OFFICE ADMINISTRATION PROGRAM

A. USANT VISION

The University of Saint Anthony (USANT) shall be a distinguished leader in the provision
of quality, yet affordable education.

B. USANT MISSION

To contribute to the individual and societal development through outstanding academic


programs, research, and community service.

C. USANT GOALS

1. Adapts administrative schemes that emphasize corporate social responsibility and to


minimize financial burden on parents and students.
2. Nurtures a wholesome workplace that spawns excellent, performing, and committed
professionals.
3. Achieves appropriate levels of accreditation of all programs to ensure students’
competitiveness.
4. Demonstrates greater competence in academics, technical skills, research, and
entrepreneurship for holistic students development.
5. Enriches students’ campus experience and competitiveness through state-of-the-art
facilities.
6. Generates new knowledge through institutional research that attracts grants to researchers.
7. Provides sustainable measures to alleviate community problems through extension services.
8. Builds strategic alliances with alumni and other stakeholders to help USANT realize its
vision and mission.

D. THE VISION OF THE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS EDUCATION

The College of Business Education is home to students who aspire to become leaders
and achievers in their scholarly pursuits in order to secure their places in their professional
careers and other productive and societal endeavors.

E. THE MISSION OF THE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS EDUCATION

Through its various Business Programs, the College of Business Education commits
itself to educate young men and women as disciplined, self-aware, achievement oriented,
socially responsible nation builders, and technology driven & competent business
administrators, career professionals and/or entrepreneurs. The course offerings integrate
business and accounting, computing and information technology, and hospitality science with
the liberal arts foundation focusing on applied and hands-on trainings, conducted online and
onsite, making the students post-graduation ready to immediately join the productive workforce
and/or creatively position themselves as self-employed in the Bicol Region or elsewhere.
F. USANT GRADUATE ATTRIBUTES (GA) AND INSTITUTIONAL INTENDED LEARNING
OUTCOMES (IILO)

The graduate of USANT is characterized as having unparalleled discipline and who is
self-aware, achievement-oriented, nation builder, and technologically competent.

GA 1. UNPARALLELED DISCIPLINE. The USANT graduate distinguishes him/herself as


disciplined in his/her attitude and manner of achieving goals. Thus, the USANT graduate:
IILO 1A. Recognizes that the community looks up to her/him as a person who had been
trained in the university to be honest in her/his dealings with teachers & administrators/staff,
fellow students, and other members of the community, on and off-campus.
IILO 1B. Respects the person and protects the resources of others in like manner that
he/she does the same for himself and her/his immediate family.
IILO 1C. Defines clearly her/his personal and professional goals.
IILO 1D. Intelligently decides and acts on ethical and moral issues.

GA 2. SELF-AWARE. The USANT graduate is ever conscious of the need to master


him/herself and to understand the society in order to achieve his desired status in life. Thus, the
USANT graduate:
IILO 2A. Recognizes the need to continuously educate her/himself.
IILO 2B. Practices the habit of self-reflection and contemplation.
IILO 2C. Upholds high standard of good character and professionalism.
IILO 2D. Identifies him/herself as competent USANT alumnus with strong desire for
achieving greater heights.

GA 3. ACHIEVEMENT ORIENTED. The USANT graduate acknowledges his/her Anthonian


education as a gift from God. As a gift, s/he consciously desires to give back to the Giver of the
gift, through others, by making him/herself consistently taking action to achieve his/her personal
and professional goals. Thus, the USANT graduate:
IILO 3A. Understands the value of hard and smart work for him/herself but recognizes the
truth that everything depends on the Will of God.
IILO 3B. Knows that the value of continuous self-mastery, and mastery of environment are
but necessary tools to achieve goals.
IILO 3C. Respects the time, resources, beliefs and opinion of others even at the midst of
achieving goals
IILO 3D. Reciprocates God’s love and generosity with love for her/himself and for others.

GA 4. NATION BUILDER. The USANT graduate participates actively in programs and


activities directed towards improving life and s/he is conscious of her/his personal responsibility
to constantly engage the global society. Thus, s/he:
IILO 4A. Serves others willingly as a way towards contributing to nation-
building.
IILO 4B. Participates in influencing public policy towards the promotion of just
society.
IILO 4C. Rejoices at the blessings of others and empathize at the misfortune of
others.
IILO 4D. Promotes cohesive unity in his family, school and organizations where he serves
while, at the same time, makes no gains from unjust sources.

GA 5. TECHNOLOGICALLY COMPETENT. The USANT graduate values the gift of education


as a potent tool for understanding, analyzing, confronting and responding to urgent and
potential issues in the family, community, industry, profession and in workplaces. Thus, the
USANT graduate:

IILO 5A. Uses intelligently his/her technical knowledge and skills in his/her field of
specialization.
IILO 5B. Understands and applies specific knowledge and skills relative to such concepts
and technical areas such as IoT, big data, smart city, artificial intelligence, and data analytics.
IILO 5C. Recognizes the need to continuously update and keep him/herself abreast with the
developments in the use and application of computer technology in the field of his/her
specialization.
IILO 5D. Works effectively and efficiently in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural
environments.

G. OFFICE ADMINISTRATION PROGRAM INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES (PILO)

The graduates of Office Administration program are expected to be able to:

PILO 1. Articulate and discuss the latest developments in the specific field of practice.

PILO 2. Effectively communicate orally and in writing using both English and Filipino. (GA
5)
PILO 3. Work effectively and independently in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
(GA 5)
PILO 4. Act in recognition of professional, social, and ethical responsibility. (GA 2)
PILO 5. Preserve and promote “Filipino historical and cultural heritage” (GA 4)
PILO 6. Perform the basic functions of management such as planning organizing,
staffing, directing, and controlling. (GA 5)
PILO 7. Apply the basic concepts that underlie each of the functional areas of business
(marketing, finance, human resources management, production, and operations
management, information technology, and strategic management) and employ
these concepts in various business situations.
PILO 8 Select the proper decision-making tools to critically, analytically, and creatively
solve problems and drive results. (GA 5)
PILO 9. Express oneself clearly and communicate effectively with stakeholders both in
oral and written forms. (GA 5)
PILO 10 Apply information and communication technology (ICT) skills as required by the
business environment. (GA 5)
PILO 11. Work effectively with other stakeholders and manage conflict in the workplace.

PILO 13. Demonstrate corporate citizenship and social responsibility and multi-cultural
