This document provides a lesson plan on using hand tools for a Grade 9 technical-vocational class. The lesson has four phases: introduction, development, engagement, and integration. In the introduction, students identify safe and unsafe tools and discuss safety precautions. The development phase instructs students on proper tool use and maintenance, identifying dos/don'ts and hazards. For engagement, students create a poster about the benefits of proper hand tool use. In integration, students apply their learning by demonstrating safe tool use and maintenance techniques. The overall lesson teaches students to prepare hand tools safely and identify unsafe tools that require repair.
