What are the various plans on board a ship.
Explain shell expansion plan.
What all are included in docking plan. What all docs ll you send to dry dock. What is critical
period. Why is it called critical. What all checks and maintenance ll u do on anchors in dry dock.
(According to him we should check the wear and thickness of the links at sea and any defective
shackles/links must be reported to dry dock prior arrival) what are the disadvantages on
checking the wear n tear if anchors IN dry dock.
In dry dock after blasting the anchor, u find that a link in the 3rd shackle is worn down. What will
you do? (again he means that, they couldn't arrange for the spares b4 departing) I said, I
ll remove the whole shackle length and get the appropriate certificates endorsed by the
surveyors for the reduced length of the anchor chain. He said "Dats one way of doing it. Wat
else..!? I don't know wat else he is expecting, but there is another answer he wants us to say.
Wat r statutory certificates, annual, intermediate and renewal certificate. Who is responsible for
LL certification, (I said flag state is overall responsible even though they delegate powers to
class, but he says for all certificates dats true, except LL, for which the class he total power and
authority over the LL certificate.
