TASK 12

Managing the
Learning
Environment
PHILIPPINE NORMAL UNIV
ERSITY
REFLECTION
Classroom management refers to the actions teachers take to
establish and maintain a setting that supports students' academic success
as well as their social, emotional, and moral development. In other words,
the goal of classroom management is to maintain order for the benefit of
education, not order for order's sake.

I quickly realize that a teacher's first and most important responsibility

is to treat every student with compassion, respect, and concern. In order to
do this, teachers must work with each student to identify his or her unique
personal qualities, capacities, skills, and interests. Additionally, they design,
organize, and present lesson plans as well as use the tools and materials for
learning while also producing coursework, teaching materials, and
assessments that adhere to established protocols.
REFLECTION
As a result, I feel it is my primary responsibility as a prospective
teacher to develop a strategy for efficient classroom management. Before I
can effectively manage the class, I must establish and maintain an
organized environment. The second goal is to enhance significant academic
learning while fostering social and emotional development. The third
objective is to reduce bad habits and increase academic engagement. I am
aware that good classroom management calls for more than just keeping
students in their seats and quiet; it also requires building strong
relationships with them, inspiring them to take an active role in their own
education, and being somewhat open with them. A supportive learning
environment benefits both teachers and students, in my opinion.
REFLECTION
As I evaluate some of the most difficult students or courses, I might
consider my approach to classroom management from the
perspectives of these four areas: connectedness, consistency,
compassion, and communication. Connection is essential for
relationships to be of high quality. Consistency helps both teachers
and students understand expectations. When we are compassionate,
we are more powerful. And I discovered that communication is the
most important aspect of classroom management. It's crucial that
there are open lines of communication between the boss, employees,
pupils, and parents. Without it, they run the risk of losing their peers'
respect, their parents' support, and the students' interest.
REFLECTION

The lesson showed me that it's important to use classroom

management because it enables teachers to influence student behavior
and foster a supportive learning environment. The main objective is to
increase acceptable behavior while decreasing student misconduct.
Additionally needed for effective classroom management are
awareness, patience, timing, boundaries, and intuition. I think that in
order to succeed as a teacher in the future, I will need to be able to
manage a sizable group of kids who are all very easily distracted and
have different personalities and skill sets.
