Quiz Bowl Mechanics

The quiz bowl will have three teams from each group compete in rounds of questions with varying difficulties and point values. Teams will have four mixed CpE and ECE students and must respond to questions within time limits. Cheating is prohibited and will result in elimination. The top three scoring teams will be named first, second, and third places, with ties broken through a clincher round.

Quiz bowl Mechanics [PA EDIT PO NO.

1. Each group should have three (3) teams for the quiz bowl, failure to send the required number
of representatives will result to ___ demerit points.
2. The team should be composed of 4 members who are mixed CpE and ECE students regardless of
the year level.
3. The competing teams must be present in the event hall according to the designated time frame
in the main program and should respond during the roll call.
4. The team/organizers will provide materials. (Chalk, Eraser, Illustration Board.)
5. Cheating is not allowed and will be closely monitored, a team that will be caught cheating will be
automatically eliminated from the competition.
6. The quiz bowl will have three level of difficulties: Easy, Moderate, and Hard with the following
pointing system:

Easy 10 15 1
Moderate 10 30 3
Hard 10 60 5

7. The categories of the questions without following any order are: Logic Circuits, Electrical and
Electronic Circuits, Chemistry, Physics, Calculus, and General Knowledge.
8. After all of the rounds, the scores will be tallied and the top 3 scorers will be hailed as winners
with the following title: 1st Place, 2nd Place, and 3rd Place. In case of tie, a clincher round shall be
conducted.
9. The teams are given 60 seconds in the clincher round. The round will be stopped if there is only
one team to get the correct answer.
10. The organizers may adjust technicalities without prior announcement, but adjustments will only
take place if announcement occurred before all round commenced.
