Bulletin 8.26.11

1) The school day ends at 2:10pm and parents are asked not to request early pickups unless necessary. Car riders should be dropped off and picked up in the parking lots, not in front of the administration building. 2) There will be no more schedule changes for middle and high school students. 3) Upcoming events at the school are listed, including volleyball games, a football game, Labor Day with no school, PTO and picture day dates.

**To Parents/Guardians . . .
-The school day ends at 2:10pm. Parents please do not come to the front desk to request your child be called up earlier unless it is absolutely necessary. -Also, safety reasons, car riders should not be dropped off or picked up in front of the Administration Building, but on the parking lot side of their respective buildings (elementary side or middle/high school side).

**From Guidance . . .

There will be no more schedule changes for middle & high school. Mr. Robinson will continue to go through the list of students who have already signed up in the front office.

**Gulf- Franklin Youth Soccer Sign-Up: Sign-up Saturday, 8/27/11, 10:00am-2:00pm, at
Apalach Armory, 664th Street. Ages: 4 (by 8/1/11) through 14 (8th grade). Bring copy of birth certificate & registration fee ($60/child- $5 discount for each additional sibling). Adult volunteers needed! Games start 9/17/11.

**The Nest After School Program:The Nest After School Programs will start on Mon, 8/29/11.

The Nest program which was located at Franklin County School . . . will now be at the Franklin Learning Center (old Brown Elementary School). The after school program is free to all Franklin County students in grades PreK-8. Applications are available

GED CLASSES @ Franklin County School


FALL CLASS DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON! The next GED Test will be given Sept. 26 & 27 at the Franklin County School library at 6:00pm. To register for the test contact Linda Bradley during GED classes or Maxine Creamer @ 670-4481.
