INTRODUCTION TO ICT SPECIALIZATION 1

•A complete instructional material will be given at the start of semester.
There will be an output per lesson and a project and an exam per term.
Output shall be submitted 1 week after the synchronous session (or
video presentation of the lesson material). Late submission of output
will be given a passed/failed rating only. Students can submit lesson
output anytime within the week of asynchronous meeting.
•Learning is your own responsibility. Be diligent in reading the
instructional materials and in accomplishing the required output. For
any lesson clarification and urgent concerns regarding instructions,
please contact your instructor via subject group chat created or via
sms.
•You need to budget your time as each lesson
ICT SPECIALIZATION 1

INTRODUCTION TO ICT SPECIALIZATION 1

• You need to budget your time as each lesson has definite output. Do
not procrastinate (saka na). Lesson
Output shall be submitted anytime on or before the next scheduled
meeting.
• Lesson outputs are designed to assess your learning – whether you
are able to synthesize, apply knowledge gained, integrate lesson to
actual situation, etc. Hence, you should be responsible to do it yourself
and not to let others do it for you or copy from others. The University
rules and regulations still apply in online/offline learning situations.

INTRODUCTION TO ICT SPECIALIZATION 1

• For online classes, you will be introduced to the learning portals

(Google Classroom, FB Closed Group, Group Chat Messenger, and
Zoom/Google Meet/Team Meeting). and you will be given a Simulation
Practice Class for you to explore how to submit assignments, take
quizzes and examination, share screen, present through the said
learning portals. All Lesson Output shall be submitted in Google
Classroom in the correct submission portal.

TECHNICAL
DRAFTING
Drafting is a technical drawing used by designers to
graphically present ideas and represent objects
necessary for a designed environment. A set of
these drafted illustrations is called a construction TECHNICAL

document (CD). DRAFTING

Drafting is said to be the universal language of
industry and modern technology.

TECHNICAL
DRAFTING
ICT SPECIALIZATION 1

Technical sketches are used during the development of ideas for initial or
preliminary plans. Technical Sketch are drawn without mechanical aid, like a
t-square, compass, or straight edge, but, like other forms of architectural
drafting, are drawn to scale and contain a variety of line weights and line
styles.

ICT SPECIALIZATION 1

Style of drawing in which the

pencil or pen is guided by
devices such as
t-squares, parallel rules,
straightedges, compasses,
triangles, and French curves
ICT SPECIALIZATION 1

When drafted documents are

prepared on a computer,
they are referred to as
computer-aided drafting
(CAD).
The line weight is the light or darkness and width of a line.

TECHNICAL
DRAFTING

Varied drawing line weights, typically three, should be

used on every drawing. These include light, medium,
and bold (dark) lines.
ICT SPECIALIZATION 1

Guidelines or Construction Lines (4H to 6H pencil lead in a .3mm

mechanical pencil)

The line weight for guidelines is to be very light as they

should be almost invisible on the finished drawing.
ICT SPECIALIZATION 1

Bold Lines (soft B to 2B pencil lead in a .5mm or

.7mm mechanical pencil)

• Primary objects / dark and have a

thick width
• Walls in plan + outline around the
perimeter of the elevation + 3D objects

Fixed Window Plan

ICT SPECIALIZATION 1

Medium Lines (HB pencil lead in

a .5mm mechanical pencil)

Secondary objects such as doors,

furnishings, counters, and cabinets
should be drawn in a medium line
weight.

Revolving Door Elevation

ICT SPECIALIZATION 1

LIGHT LINES (H to 2H pencil or 3mm

to 5mm mechanical pen)

Action lines, information lines,

and fill patterns should be drawn
with light lines.

Fixed Window Elevation

ICT SPECIALIZATION 1

Border Lines (2B to 4B pencil lead in a .7mm or .9mm pencil)

Border lines are used to create a margin on the drawing sheet

and to create the lines around the title block.
Guidelines are used for page layout and borderlines are
used for framing the page.

Alphabet of lines are set of conventional

line symbols which have different weights,
thickness, forms and uses.
Are very light, easily erased lines used to
block in the main layout.
