Chapter I

Introduction
People nowadays should eat nutritious foods because there are a lot of viruses that
causes illness and disease so that the business owner decided to establish "Fruita de
Empanada" that provides healthy and delicious foods.

Empanda comes from the verb empanar, which means to wrap or coat in bread.
Empanada is differs in many countries of Latin America and Europe it is either stuffed
bread, pastry bread or fried. This dish was carried to Latin America and the Philippines
by Spanish colonists that remain very popular up to this day. Filipino also love Empanada
and nearly every province in the Philippines has their own version of Empanada but
"Fruita de Empanada" is one of a kind and exceptional because it is filled with different
fruits, such as; mango, apple and mixed fruits, while the dough of Empanada is consists
of pulverized motinga oleitera "malunggay" leaves.

Fruit are important source of may nutrients including potassium, fiber, vitamin C
and folate and it has been recognized as a good source or vitamins and minerals and for
their role in preventing vitamin C and vitamin A deficiencies, so for those people who eat
fruits as part of an overall healthy diet generally have a reduced risk of chronic disease.
The malunggay leaves that will be added to the empanada mixture is acknowledge to
have nutritional and medicinal value, it is rich in Vitamins A, B and C, minerals such as
iron and amino acid, and many more that can help people to fight and prevent many
illnesses.

Since Filipino loves eating, Fruita de Empanada also provides another set of
empanadas like for breakfast, the empanada de hotdog such as Ham and cheese
Empanada, Hotdog Empanada, and Tocino de Empanada. While for lunch there are
empanadas filled with giniling, fish fillet, and chicken fillet. And lastly for dinner, there
are asado, and also Empanada de Cordon. With these the customers will be more satisfied.

The business owners come up with this business because the surroundings are full
of unhealthy foods that causes many diseases so it is time to serve food that will not only
give you a delicious taste but unique and satisfying nutritious treats.

Nature of the Firm


Fruita de Empanada is a general partnership of ten individuals that agree to share
in all assets, profits, financial and legal liabilities of a jointly owned business. Each
partner is responsible for their tax liabilities-- including partnership earnings-- on their
income tax returns as taxes do not flow through the general partnership.

Nature of the Business


Friuta de Empanada is a type of firm that serves in the food industry that supplies
nutritious empanada and responsible to ensure the satisfaction and enjoyment of the
customers.

Identity
Brand Name
"Fruita de Empanada" came from the main product of the business, which is
empanada that filled with different fruits, this brand name will attract customers because
it is catchy, unique, clear and easy to remember.

Colors and Shapes


The yellow and circle in the logo of Fruita de Empanada portray the plate that
people use when they eat just like the business it serves food that will satisfy the
customers. The green leaves represent the malunggay leaves that the empanadas have
which add more nutrients to the product. The font of Fruita de Empanada in the logo
shows that the business ambience is benchmark in historical vibes that blends to the
location of the business. Lastly the empanada chef that holds different fruits signifies the
business main product which is empanada that filled with different fruits.

Source of Financing
Fruita de Empanada source of finance is from the savings and loans of the owners
and credit from the bank. The starting capital is ₱ 9,000,000 that will be allocated to the
land, construction of the store, furniture, equipment, bills, raw materials etc. Returns on
investment is depend on total revenues deducting the business expenses and the
remaining amount, are agreed by all of the partners to distribute equally among
themselves.

Chapter II

Service Description
Fruita de Empanada will strive to provide its products in a manner which reflects
the company belief in the importance of customer satisfaction and increasing sales
through product improvements and the introduction of additional products. The company
will ensure to treat customer fair and just and also give customers the best service that
they can receive.

Target Market
The target markets of Fruita de Empanada are all ages from kids to adults around
Intrarnuros, Manila who love to eat healthy and delicious empanada with comfortable
environment and historical surroundings that will remind them of the history of the
Filipinos. The students are also the potential customer of the business, they can be able to
study while enjoying the nutritious empanada and experience peaceful ambience. The
Tourist is also considered as a future customer of the Fruita de Empanada because the
product offered by the business is new to market and unique, and it will also serve as
“pasalubong” for their loved ones.

Product Plan
Fruita de Empanada will conduct food tasting on their opening that will encourage
and attract customer to patronize and experience the unique, innovative and healthy
freshly baked empanada. In connection with this, the business serves different cuisine
that will cater the needs of the customers from, breakfast, lunch, snack and until dinner.
Aside from satisfying customers hunger and cravings the business will ensure to provide
healthy and nutritious food that help to avoid many illnesses.

Pricing Plan
At first the business will use “cost-plus pricing” which the owners will calculate
the costs and add mark up to come up with the selling price of the products, the price of
the products offered by Fruita de Empanada is around Php 50 - 200. As the business
move forward the owner will use another pricing strategy which is the “value-based
pricing” that the owners will set a price based on how much the customers patronizing
the products.

Place
One of the market strategies of the owners of Fruita de Empanada is to establish
the business near Intramuros, Manila because it is surrounded by different schools and
university and the place attracts more tourist that will be their potential customers. It is a
great opportunity to the business because it is located along the highway that will help
customer to easily see the business. The store is also an “instagrammable” place that will
catch the heart of every person that like to take a beautiful and vintage photo. And lastly
the store has a rooftop that overview the scenery around Intramuros that intended to
gather more customers.

The business will reinforce different marketing tactics to increase customer awareness
about Fruita de Empanada such as:

 Word of Mouth

 Local Store Marketing distributing flyers around the store.

 Wide Range Marketing using social media to persuade potential customers

Fruita de Empanada will start to operate from seven (7) in the morning up to ten
(10) in the evening, Mondays to Sundays. The owners will use highly and advance
equipment that will fasten the preparing and serving of foods that improve the
satisfaction and the waiting time of the customers.

People
The management will ensure that the employees of the business are responsible,
kind, clean and well trained because the business will conduct continuous training until
they master the skill and knowledge that the business need. Enable to secure the health
and safety of the employees the business decided to have a shifting schedule, Morning
shift (7:00 am -12:00 nn), Afternoon Shift (12:00 nn – 5:00 pm) and the Night Shift (5;00
pm – 10:00 pm) each shift is allotted 30 minutes break.

Food scraps create the bulk of waste that is created in our restaurant.different types of food
scraps include excess bits produce, uneaten food, or expired products. We choose to compost the
plant based food scraps. Other foods, such as meat or poultry items, must be placed in the trash.

- During the prep and production process, the kitchen crew may go through many different types
of food containers. Recycling cardboard, plastic, and glass containers will help our restaurant cut

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

1. Office Hours

6:00am – 2:00pm (8hours) Day Shift

3:00pm – 10:00pm (8hours) Night Shift

2. Attendance and Punctuality

2.1 Tardiness

 Time missed will also count as tardy


 Employees must have the permission of their supervisor to make up time
 Failure to provide timely notification or failure to comply with Sick and Leave Policy
may result absences being counted as unscheduled absences
 Employees shall be considered tardy if they arrive in work hours in (10) minutes late in
their first hour

2.2 Under time

 Early departure will be recorded as one-half (1/2) an occurrence


 Any employee who is absent in the afternoon (Day Shift) is considered to have incurred
under time, and any employee who is absent in the early evening (Night Shift) is also
considered to have incurred under time.

Tardiness and under time are deducted from employee’s vacation leave credits or salary
when leave credits are already exhausted.

3.1 General Meetings

 All employees or workers must be ready and must attend the meeting

4.1 Uniforms
