8-1-23: Poem - Weather Ways (CB Page 121)


Introduce the poem by talking about different kinds of weather conditions
described in the poem. Teach the poem well and ask them to begin with the title
and to recite it with proper actions.

9-1-23: Complete Course book exercises (CB Page 122-123)

10-1-23: Punctuation
Introduce the topic by talking about the traffic rules we have to follow on road to
be safe. Explain punctuation as rules to be followed in writing. Refer the
worksheet and explain well the use of punctuations. Then teach them that we
use capital letter at the beginning of a sentence, name of a person, place, months
of the year, days of the week, all subjects, and single ‘I’. Teach them about asking
and telling sentences. Tell them about question words like “What”, “When”,
“Where”, “Why”, “How”, “Do you”, “May I”, “Can I”. Give a lot of examples.
Explain that a question mark is placed at the end of an asking sentence and a full
stop is given at the end of a telling sentence. Complete W/S - 10.
11-1-23: Punctuation W/S - 11 Complete first 5 sentences.

12-1-23: Revision for Unit Test - II.

15-1-23: Punctuation W/S - 11 Complete next 5 sentences.

16-1-23: Punctuation W/S - 12 Complete first 5 sentences.

17-1-23: Punctuation W/S - 12 Complete next 5 sentences.

18-1-23: Complete EGB Pages 55 and 56.

19-1-23: Give four sentences in the notebook to punctuate.

Introduce the lesson by asking questions like, ‘What the weather is outside? Is it
sunny? Is it hot or windy, or is it cold or raining?’ Then ask them what they wear
or carry when it is hot (cap, hat), cold (sweater), raining (umbrella, raincoat).
Thereafter read and explain the lesson very well. Page 110 warm up activity give
as HW.

23-1-23: Reading
A thorough reading practice of the l lesson should be given in the class. Each
child should be given an opportunity to read at least a few lines from the lesson.

24-1-23: Words (1 to 5)
Drill the words orally very well and give them in the notebook.

25-1-23: Words (6 to 10)

Explain the method of framing grammatically correct sentences with
punctuations using a given word . Write the words of a small sentence in a
jumbled manner and ask the students to put them in the correct order. Refer the
worksheet and explain thoroughly with lots of examples. Please strictly follow the
rules given in the worksheet while framing the sentences. Complete only I of w/s
13.

2-2-23: Complete II

5-2-23: Give 5 words to frame sentences in the notebook as classwork and give
3 words in the notebook as homework.

6-2-23: Picture Comprehension
