Read and analyze each of the situations below. On the space before each number, write V if the
situation exemplifies a violation to the Bill of Rights and NV for no violation. Write the number of the
Section of the Bill of Rights that the statement violates or observes.

of her lungs at 12 midnight.

with his mistress, who is lying on the floor with multiple stab wounds. She immediately rushed to the
police station and reported the crime. The officers without trial convicted her husband for murder and

began to search through the trunk and her personal luggage.

convicted pickpocket.

changes students would like to see at Makabayan National High School. The principal tried to stop
Miggy’s article from being published without any explanation.

boss found out that he is a member of that church, he was fired from his work.
___V, SECTION 13 ___ 20. Elaine was sued for a crime that she did not commit on May 12, 2010. When
she appeared before the court, the judge told her that the trial will take place on June 15, 2013.
___V, SECTION 8 ___ 21. Chan lives near a factory that puts foul-smelling smoke in the air. Juanita and
her neighbors call a meeting at Chan's house to discuss what they can do about the smoke. However,
the police block the entrance to the home and tell people that they have no right to hold a meeting.

assembly, she expressed her desire to be one of the senatorial candidates. Since the Chief of Police
dislikes the Cool Political Party’s platform, she, together with her colleagues, was arrested and

cell and no one is allowed to visit him throughout the duration of his imprisonment.
