Gender and Policies

In order for development initiatives to benefit all gender equally, the gender policy
seeks to promote equality of all opportunities between women, men, girls, and boys.
Ensuring the right integration of gender concerns into development to ensure that both
women and men are fully included in leading productive lives. In our society we have
roles in life to not discriminate a person who’s different to us. An approach to policy-
making known as gender mainstreaming considers the interests and concerns of both
men and women.

Women benefit from gender in policy making, but it also takes into account the
various needs and goals of all people, regardless of sex. By doing this, one can ensure
that all community members are valued equally, that laws are more effective, and that
the world is more just, successful, and peaceful. My reflection in this topic is you have to
be more sensitive to other people’s feelings. In the team you planned a meeting to
decide that you are not allowed to bully and discriminate. Respecting to each other can
make your team as one. Your team makes policies to not do a bad things and
disrespect to each other.

You make policies to be responsible and know how to respect to each other. To
apply this thing in my daily life is teach people to loved each other even they’re different
in actions. Men, women, girls, and boys they are still human they need to be love by the
person. Especially to those people who is part of LGBTQ. Know your words and don’t
talk to them in a disrespectful way. Know your limitations and boundaries so that you
won’t hurt their feelings. We make policies for everyone to know what they are going to
do.
Gender, Sex and Love

As we grow, we learn how to behave from those around us. In this socialization
process, children are introduced to certain roles that are typically linked to their
biological sex. The term gender role refers to society’s concept of how men and women
are expected to act and how they should behave. These roles are based on norms, or
standards, created by society. A person's capability for sexual feelings and their
emotional and sexual attraction to a particular sex are referred to as their sexuality
(male or female).

As a woman we still attract to other women and that attraction become love. Love
is not only for man and woman but also to LGBTQ. Same sex and same gender. In a
same-sex relationship, expressing love is normal and essential to being human. Being
madly in love and wanting to express oneself sexually is a natural part of relationships.
Being in love of the same sex is not wrong if you love him/her. Love is always win.

Don’t listen to people who’s look down on your relationship. Just be happy
together and don’t let them ruined your relationship. Although people of different
genders do experience and show love differently. Importantly, love and gender are
tightly linked to each other. Romantic love comes with expectations of how
the genders behave toward each other. To apply it to myself to someone who is in love
to the same gender is you have to respect them and their decision to be together and
just be happy to them.
Violence Against Women

A mother, sister, friend, niece, daughter, and children? how much and how do
you value them? When it all comes down to endless love, we cannot narrow down
women in society from being a mother to growing number of children, a sister who is
always there to listen, a friend who cheers you up, a niece who makes you laugh, a
daughter who weeps out all the stress and pain, and children whom you can count on.
How exactly women are nowadays valued. Violence Against Women is any act of
gender-based violence that results in physical, sexual or psychological harm or suffering
to women including threats.

Some family’s women will experience violence at the hands of their current or

former partners in their lifetime. Women has rights because we experience the physical
abuse and do not have strong to fight the man in the family. They will experience the
physical abused also the kids will traumatized. I am thankful that we I have a father who
is very protective to us and he always concern our heath. He is responsible or
everything just to make sure we are good. Having a responsible father in the family we
feel safe. Thanks to God that my father will never raise his hand in the family especially
on my mother and me.

If one of the family is suffering because of physical abuse you can go to DSWD
to ask for help. Some of the problem in the family is the financial. Every day, we
encounter different types of women. It is painful to see that despite their efforts and
sacrifices, these women continue to face discrimination and abuse, as if they were
made to act as punching bags for heartless man. And the worse is women killed by their
partners without any conscience. As a student or a listener, you have to believe and
listen to those people who survive of being abuse. Understand their situations and help
them to be part of your team to make her forget the past. Encourage them to belong
such as religious, civic, and social to help stop crime and to forget their past.
Gender and Politics

UN Human Rights campaigns for women's rights and the advancement of gender
equality. Human rights and the values of the UN based on gender equality. Any gender
you can become part of the politics, you can help the LGBTQ to fight their rights and
now allowing people to discriminate man, women, girls and boys. Everyone has
A Gender Identity and Everyone Should Have the Right to Express It. Gender and
politics study how peoples' political participation and experiences interact with their
gender identity, and how ideas of gender political institutions and decision-making. Any
gender an be part of decision making together with the politics.

In order to achieve gender equality in politics, women and men must share equal
numbers of ministerial and parliamentary seats. Equal participation of women and men
in politics is an important condition for effective democracy and good governance.
Understanding these gender relations is you have the ability to make decisions and the
way women and men, boys and girls are affected by political processes and social
development in the society. I have learned in this topic about the gender and politics. It is
about that women know the gender issues. I enjoyed to listened their own opinion about
real issues that they have experienced.

I have gained knowledge about the feminist movements and how it all started. My
views have changed a lot about the world since being enrolled in this class. Because
when I was in catholic high school, if you are a woman you are belong to woman and if
you are man you are belong to man. In this class, I read articles and understand each
other opinions about gender equality, public opinions, women and the workplace, first
ladies, reproductive rights, and girl’s issues. To apply the issue of the women is I have to
help them to gain power and understand the situation to each of us.

Studying Gender as a Social Fact

If sex is a biological concept, gender is a social concept. It refers to the social

and cultural differences that society assigns to people based on their biological sex. But
we do not know what was the future of the kids of being who they are. We can only read
their actions and that how will we know what gender they are going to belong. Gender
influences human options, conditions, and experiences. Social facts consist of collective
thinking and shared expectations that influence individual behavior. For Examples of
social facts include social roles, norms, laws, values, beliefs, rituals, and customs. In
our society we only know that only man and woman can love to each other but in our
generations, we can love a person who is same sex to us.

Our biological birth is man and woman. No guy and no tomboy but as we grow
up, we understand the situation in our society you became part of a gender because
you learn and have idea to changed your behavior to become and man or woman.
When you grow up you decided to trans so that you become female. Even your
biological birth is man. Gender can be wider as we expected. The most important thing I
learned in this class is that gender is a social construct. Social construction shows that
as a society we create standards to identify and categorize normal behavior from
deviant behavior. his can be seen in children before they can walk by categorizing
genders and dressing females in pink and boys in blue.

Being a guy and transgender has no explanation because is that what they
want. For example, we facilitate our children's gender-appropriate behavior by criticizing
them in ways that shape their behavior. For example, tell a boy that he is a girl because
he cried or acted weak. These social structures are so important to me because I see
other kids grew up with the social influence that being a part of the LGBTQ community
is shameful and I think if more people were educated about sex, it would be. they will
respect others more and will be less violence, hate crime and overall, less negative. I
always thought that in judging others for their gender ownership and that if I followed
their beliefs, I would become someone else who made the world a better place. should
be more difficult for those who choose to be. So that we have to be happy for them.
