I. Objective
At the end of the class, pupils must have:
• Define and explain what is matter and states of matter.
• Identify the states of matter in life.
• Differentiate each state of matter.

Content Standards
• Demonstrate an understanding and applying of matter in life.

Learning Competency/Competencies
• To learn and identify the states of matter.

II. Subject Matter


Topic: States of Matter
Subtopics: Solid/Liquid/Gas
Materials: PowerPoint Presentation

III. Lesson Proper


1. Organization
• The teacher ask if she is audible or clear.
2. Prayer
• The teacher will play a prayer video.
3. Introduce teacher’s names
• The teacher will introduce his/her name.
4. Warm up
• The teacher will greet the students, as well as the teacher.
Motivation

• The teacher will give an ice-breaker called Guessing Game. Picture will be
posted and the students will guess what is the picture that has being
shown.
Presentation of the Lesson
• The teacher will bring out the PowerPoint presentation to start the lesson.
• The teacher will define what is matter.
• The teacher will introduce the three states of matter.
• The teacher will define and explain each state of matter.
• The teacher will give an example each state of matter.

IV. Evaluation
• The teacher will show pictures of things, and the students will answer what
state of matter was the picture that is being shown.
V. Assignment
• The students will draw one object each state of matter that usually see in
their home.
