Notice that the mention of the witch is gone,


since Gretel has no knowledge of her at this
point.
“Hansel walked ahead of Gretel. Gretel dropped
breadcrumbs behind her as she went.
There is darkness everywhere. A small amount
of light is radiating from the halfmoon floating
in the sky overhead. There are no stars. It is
cold and humid. You look around you and find
your friends gone. You are completely alone.
Chris liked Elma since the third grade, but he
had never found the nerve to tell her. But one
sunny day, Chris said to Elma, “so you want to
go with me?” Elma blushed and said, “ok” Chris
smiled.
Jim was very mad at Bob for lying to him.
Although Bob was sorry for lying to Jim, he
thought that it was his only option---if they
were going to remain friends. But even that
option hadn’t work out right, he though
miserably.
Tim slammed the door. He walked upstairs and
read a not from Shay. He kicked her trash can
and started crying.
Tim was mad at Shay. He blamed her. Shay just
left without saying anything. She left a note
and then left him.
